The love rings
Get your ideal partner
Chapter 1
by Cirrus
In a quaint corner of the city, where narrow cobblestone streets wound like ancient serpents through old brick buildings, there existed a small, enigmatic store that few people noticed. Its faded sign, "Arcane Treasures," hung above a wooden door that creaked when opened. The store's windows, adorned with curious trinkets and mystical symbols, seemed to whisper secrets to those who paused to look.
Mike strolled down the narrow alley, his casual attire—faded jeans, a simple white T-shirt, and well-worn sneakers—blending seamlessly with the eclectic surroundings. The afternoon sun cast a golden hue over his brown hair, and his green eyes, sharp and inquisitive, scanned the shops with mild interest. He had taken this route on a whim, a detour from his usual path home after another uneventful day at his engineering firm.
As he walked, something caught his eye: a small, almost hidden storefront with a sign that read "Arcane Treasures." Intrigued by the name and the mysterious aura of the place, Mike decided to step inside.
The interior of the store was dimly lit, with shelves lined with an assortment of items that looked as though they belonged in a wizard's lair—ancient books, crystal balls, and peculiar artifacts. A faint scent of incense filled the air, adding to the shop's otherworldly atmosphere. Mike's eyes wandered over the shelves, taking in the oddities with a mix of curiosity and skepticism.
"Welcome," a voice called out from the shadows.
Mike turned to see an old man emerging from behind a beaded curtain. The man was dressed in an elaborate wizard costume, complete with a pointed hat and flowing robes adorned with stars and moons. Mike couldn't help but chuckle inwardly at the sight; it was as if he'd stepped into a scene from a fantasy novel.
The shopkeeper's eyes twinkled with a mischievous glint as he approached Mike. "Is there something specific you're looking for, young man?"
"Just browsing," Mike replied, still amused by the man's attire. "Interesting store you have here."
The old man nodded, his beard shifting with the movement. "We have many fascinating items, but I sense you might be interested in something...special." He gestured for Mike to follow him to a display case at the back of the store.
Inside the case was a pair of rings—one a delicate, feminine engagement ring with a large diamond, the other a simple yet elegant male wedding band. The rings seemed to shimmer with a light of their own, drawing Mike's gaze.
"These rings," the shopkeeper began, his voice taking on a more serious tone, "are not ordinary. They have the power to create a profound connection between two people. Once worn, the wearers will find themselves deeply in love with each other. Moreover, each time one of them reaches a moment of climax, he will change—both physically and mentally—by ten percent towards the other's ideal lover."
Mike raised an eyebrow, his skepticism returning. "So, if I give this ring to a woman, after ten...um...climaxes, she'll be my ideal lover?"
The wizard chuckled, a sound that seemed to resonate with hidden knowledge. "It's not quite that simple. The initial attraction will shape both your preferences and hers. Your tastes in women might evolve to find attractive the woman who is wearing the ring. Hers will change too so she finds you attractive."
The wizard continued : "Then as you gradualy are changed by the ring each time you climax, your tastes in women might continue to change to match your partner's subconcious thoughts."
Mike glanced at the rings again, their allure undeniable yet strange. "How much?"
"Just €29.99," the old man replied with a smile.
The price was surprisingly low, almost suspiciously so. Mike hesitated, his mind racing with doubt. Magic rings? It sounded absurd. Yet, something about the store, the old man, and the rings themselves compelled him to take the leap.
"Alright," he said, pulling out his wallet. "I'll take them."
The shopkeeper's smile widened as he carefully placed the rings in a small velvet pouch and handed it to Mike. "Use them wisely," he advised. "And remember, love and magic often work in mysterious ways."
Mike left the store, the pouch feeling unusually heavy in his pocket. As he walked home, his thoughts were a whirlwind of skepticism and curiosity. What had he just gotten himself into? And could these rings really change his life, or was it all just an elaborate ruse?
Only time would tell.
