The Thesis

Your name is Drew Smith. You grew up in suburban Chicago, the middle son of a family of 5, and always had a passion for mathematics. You were never athletically inclined - your 5'9 frame hardly had any muscle on it - and although you ended up getting a great tan every summer on your family vacation to Cozumel, you could never consistently pull any ladies.

4 years ago, you were accepted to BBC College to study mathematics, and you were so excited to get that acceptance letter in the mail. You met a nice girl, Katie, who you were "together" with for a few months at the start of your freshman year, but like most white chicks at BBC college, she dumped you for a black stud she met in class. You saw her a couple times on campus since then, always looking adoringly at her black adonis, Andre. Eventually though, you moved on. Your studies took precedent over any romantic interests, and besides, there was no way your tiny frame could hope to compare to your sexier, non-white classmates. You made the Dean's list a few times during your time at BBC College, and were going to graduate in a month with a near-4.0 GPA. Overall, you had a great time and are actively looking forward to joining the workforce (wherever that may be).

Your roommate, David, is even nerdier than you. You have lived together the past two years, and while he is a year older, he's finishing up his master's in biology and is the middle of completing his thesis. He hasn't said much about it to you up until this point, but he comes to you on a Friday evening asking for your help...
