The Right Type of Yandere
For you!
Chapter 1 by Monsieur_Mastermind
Yanderes. They come in many forms: Murderous psychos, creepy stalkers, devoted zealots, etc.
Despite how horrible they'd realistically be as partners, we can't help but fantasize about them, can we?
So, before we begin, I'd like to explain a few types of yanderes.
(I am not a professional, I do not know if they count as yanderes, just go with it.)
Possessive
The Possessive Yandere is the standard Yandere that everyone thinks of when they hear the word. Murderous jealousy, love-interest-scent-addicted, the whole shebang.
Protective
A branch of the Possessive, where the and possessiveness doesn't come from a place of possessiveness, but rather fear of everything that might hurt their senpai.
Obsessive
The Obsessive Yandere is perfect for harems. They believe their senpai is the pinnacle of existence, and they think people only have worth if they can be of use to them. The Obsessive Yandere is the type to kidnap and psychologically their senpai's bully to become their broken sex-toy.
Submissive
An offshoot of the Obsessive, doing atrocious things for their senpai's benefit. The difference is, the Obsessive does it out of zealous belief that their senpai is the pinnacle of existence. The submissive fears the possibility of their senpai disliking them to such a degree, they'll strive to make the world and themselves fit their senpai's every desire. Be careful with criticism, you don't know how they'll react...
Passive
The Passive Yandere can be seen as a pet. They'll become violent if you don't return their affections, but will be completely apathetic towards your actions when they're satisfied. Wanna fuck someone else? Because you already fucked the Yandere recently, there's no issue!
Competitive
The Competitive Yandere can be hard to differentiate from the possessive. Think of it this way: The possessive will lose a cooking competition against their love rival and go on a killing spree. The Competitive will acknowledge their inferiority and return when they've improved, and then kill their rival after a rematch. Two Competitives going for the same senpai will often end in a one-on-one deathmatch.
Adaptive
The adaptive is a sort of Possessive mixed with Obsessive. They'll start out as your standard Possessive Yandere, but will learn over time what their senpai's likes and dislikes are, berate themselves for getting something wrong, and adapt. They might attempt a , realize they almost made their senpai sad, berate themselves, then offer a three-way, as that is what they have learned their love-interest likes. As you can imagine, they might not start with the most common of senses.
Manipulative
The most dangerous type of Yandere there is. The Manipulative can hide their nature as easily as they breathe, and they will emotionally manipulate people, including their love-interest, to get what they want. May their desires align with their senpai interest's...
So! You're all caught up on the types of Yanderes there are, good for you!
So... Who's the main character in your story?
The Yandere, or the Senpai?

There are plenty of Yanderes out there. However, not all Yanderes are equal. Which do you prefer?
