The Perilous Paths of Princesses

In a fantasy land, a princess is captured by the horrible demon king and to wait breathlessly for the heroic saviour of the land to come and free her.

How many times have we all seen that story play out? Enough times, I thin, that we have grown bored of seeing the hero's side of things. So now we shall tell stories centred on the princesses themselves. Each one will be met with their own challenges, their own perils, and their own chances to rise above them. Can they face their darkest sides without being overcome by them and emerge as stronger, better people? Maybe so, maybe not.

Either way, it will be fun to see.

The three tales before you now offer you a choice, but before you make it dear reader, you'd best learn a little about each one.

In The Mystery of Gelmina, we follow the tale of the war-like and proud princess Vrasha who has recently crushed her brother in a bloody civil war. Only twenty years of age, Vrasha is an accomplished warrior who many men seek to woe or bed. However her claim to the throne is not complete until she marries and becomes queen and during that time, the city of Gelmina - an ally during her war - extends a strange offer. Gelmina is a city of slaves which Vrasha always despised but each is strangely happy with their place. Always she has wondered what sort of power the masters of the city have over their slaves so perhaps now is the time to look into it? But Gelmina has designs of its own on the throne of her land, and intends to make Vrasha into a -queen in thrall to her husband, the mayor of Gelmina.

Will she be able to figure out their sinister plans and foil them before it's too late not only for her, but also for her people?

In Dreams of Futures Yet to Be, we meet the Princess Susan, younger daughter of a royal family and not expected to inherit the throne. It is nearing her twentieth birthday and thus by the reckoning of her people, the time that she should be married off. But Susan does not wish to marry and in desperation, turns to a sinister creature who offers relief at a ghastly cost.

In The Voice of the Past, a young woman called Lesha is captured along with her whole village by enemy raiders who proceed to her, calling her the Princess of Whores due to her distant relation with a noble family. Just as she nears her lowest point and prepare to surrender forever, she hears a voice whispering in her mind. Not knowing if she is insane or not, Lesha is to pit her will and cunning against her captors in the hope of finding a way to save herself and her people.
