The Inferiority Complex

He changed for the better

Chapter 1 by dazer dazer

You had lived for three years in the countryside at a special school for troubled youth. Not criminals or addicts, but the emotional and youth. Now you have to move back to the city that you were born and grew up in. The municipality who paid for your stay in the province, has decided to move you closer to their area.

Your new home will be in a dorm with the same target group as the place you are leaving. The only differences are that you are no longer in the countryside and that the rooms are smaller.

The building itself is in three floors with a basement where the community kitchen and the common areas like the TV room, the fitness room and the movie room where a projector can show movies on the white canvas on the wall.

Each dorm room has a bathroom with a shower stall, a tea kitchen with a sink, a hot plate, and a refrigerator with a small freezer. On the tour of the dorm, you noticed that all the flooring was linoleum. You guess that a cold winter could test the heating bill. You met some of the residents, a couple of boys that appeared bland, to be frank, but the girls were a different story

"OH MY GOD" you heard a recognizable voice yell. You turn around and are nearly tackled to the floor by the girl from your old neighborhood Annette "John what are you doing here? I thought you had moved out of town?" she asks you, looking increasingly happy at you. "Well, Annette I had to move back to the city to make sure that you were behaving like your mother wants you to" you answer. "Oh stop it John, you charmer. You know that i behave well all the time" she replies, and give you one of her adorable smiles.

The dorms principal, who is showing you around looks at you and then at Annette with confusion. "Do you two know each other?" He asks. "Our families are from the same part of the city" you explain. "It is one of those areas where everybody knows one another. "But Annette. Aren't you still only a teen? Because John is in his mid-twenties?". "Yeah, so?" asks Annette and continues "It's not like I only know people at my own age you know," she replies. You have a smirk on your lips as Annette puts the nosey principal in his place. You think back to the days at the harbor district where you and Annette used to play every day all summer long. Even though you are more than five years older than her. The principal clears his throat and asks you to follow him down to the basement

(AUTHORS NOTE: This story needs new chapters. Thus I'm allowing pretty much anyone to add to it.)
