The Genie of the Lamp

(I heavily encourage people to add chapters to this story. I’m currently working on a couple stories, one that I want to at least get published before the end of the month & the other I at least want to get some stuff written down before I forget the idea. Not to mention I have some ideas for some chapters to add to other people’s stories, so I won’t be that active on this story for the near future.)

A long time ago, genies, or jinns, roamed the planet. They were beings with tremendous power, with separated themselves into three camps. Some were more good then others, offering assistance to those around them. They taught them valuable lessons. Even introduced them to things that we are aware of today, like tattoos. There were also a few genies who chose to limit their interactions with non-genies, which cause them to know very little about other cultures. However, others were more on the mischievous side. Causing problems for those around them. That trouble could range from harmless pranks, to outright . One day it was decided that genies were more trouble than they were worth. While it was hard, all the malicious genies were eliminated. All the good genies were sparred, on the grounds that they be sentenced to lives of servitude.

They were all trapped in various items. Items like: rings, necklaces, crowns, and, of course, lamps, to name a few. Some of these items were later destroyed, by those paranoid of the genies’ powers. Others were lost in time. One of those items would soon be found by one lucky individual. For in that found lamp, there awaits the genie, Samira.

Samira is a special kind of genie. The first genie & most powerful of all the genies, she allowed herself to be trapped & convinced other likeminded genies to do the same, even if they were more on the “non-interaction” side. You may almost say she’s “the Queen of the Genies.” She chose to lead by example, and became the first genie who willingly went into their object. She had so much faith in humanity, she agreed to have a special stipulation on her lamp. For whoever finds the lamp & rubs it, she becomes bound to them for the rest of their life, whereas others had the stereotypical three wishes limit. Who will be the lucky one to find her after all this time? We will find out. But, before we find out who finds her, we should find out where this story takes place.
