Tempted Girlfriend

Tempted Girlfriend

Will you stay faithful, or let yourself be taken?

Chapter 1 by Lostghalo Lostghalo

Jessica used the bright red lipstick to apply the final touches to her appearance. She normally wouldn’t wear something quite so eye-catching for a night at home, but this night was a special occasion.

Jessica and her boyfriend John had been dating for three years. They had met during her sophomore year of college when he had been a senior. It had been the best years of her life. She could still remember every detail of the night he had proposed; even though it was months ago. She loved him with all her heart. At least; that was what she had thought.

The last couple of months had not gone well. Annoyance had turned into bickering, and bickering had turned into screaming matches. It was all made worse by the fact that John was having to spend so much time at work lately. There were some nights when He wasn’t even able to come home at all, and had to stay in a hotel room downtown. On those nights, Jessica was left alone. But all that would change tonight.

Jessica inspected her reflection in the mirror. She was 21 and average height for a girl. She had long golden blonde hair that fell down past her shoulders in gently curling waves. Her eyes were emerald green and framed with long black lashes. There was a faint spray of freckles across the bridge of her nose. She was wearing a green and white off the shoulders summer dress that was cut just low enough to show off the tops of her 30 d cup breasts. The short pleated skirt came down to mid thigh and was tied tight around her slim waist by a thick black belt. Jessica had other plans for that belt tonight.

She sat back to admire her handiwork. She looked damn good. Definitely good enough to break their dry spell. Just then, she heard the front door open. That would be John, finally home from work. Jessica jumped up and hurried out of the bathroom. She found her boyfriend in the front hallway putting his jacket in the closet.

“Hey! You’re home!” Jessica said excitedly, but John’s reaction was not what she expected. Instead of smiling and hugging her; he jumped in surprise and looked at her with a mixture of guilt and anger.

“What? OH! I didn’t think you’d still be up. It’s pretty late.” He closed the closet door and hurried past her towards the bedroom. “Sorry baby. I just got to take a shower and get some sleep. I am totally beat.”

“But, wait! I made you dinner.” Jessica couldn’t believe what was happening. John hadn’t said anything about the way she looked. He had barely looked at her at all. They had barely spoken in days, and now he was just going to go to bed and leave her.

“Did you? Sorry babe. I already ate downtown. Thanks though.” And just like that he was gone. She heard him shut the bathroom door, followed by the sound of shower running.

Jessica bit her lip and wondered what to do.

Her mind was spinning. She felt like her whole world was falling apart. Underneath that, there was a seed of suspicion. There was that weird look in her fiancé's eyes when she came into the hallway. He did look guilty. Jessica didn’t know what to think. She had always trusted John implicitly. She had never done what insecure girlfriends do and snoop into their boyfriend’s privacy. She had never gone through his phone, or doubted where he went...but now.

She turned back to the closet. John had been pretty quick to put away his jacket. She opened the closet, but the jacket seemed pretty normal. Jessica sighed in relief and was about close the closet, when she smelled something odd. She leaned forward and pressed her nose against the collar. Perfume!

The smell was unmistakable. The powerful aroma reminded Jessica of lavender, and vanilla. It was also definitely not hers. With a frozen heart Jessica lifted up the collar to see a smear of what must be lipstick. The final clue was in the pocket. It was a receipt from Les Amis; the best restaurant in town. It was there that John had proposed to her. John would never have gone there for a quick bite when working late. She examined the list of items on the order. It was unmistakable dinner for two with several fruity girly drinks listed.

In a haze of anger, confusion, and sadness, she put the jacket away and walked down the hall into the bedroom. The sounds of falling water and soft curls of steam were coming from around the half open bathroom door. Part of her wanted to storm into there and demand answers. Part of her wanted to go in there are kiss him all over; maybe that would make this better. And part of her just wanted to go to bed and pretend this night never happened.

What does Jessica do?
