There are powerful magics hidden to most people in the world, and in some rare cases, these magics become accessible to the common individual. So what happens when a seemingly inconsequential person, perhaps down on their luck, discovers magic in the form of an app that allows them to manipulate any and all relationships with the people around them? The editor gives its user the ability to perceive connections they have formed with other people, determine the strength and direction of those feelings and demeanors, and even change them arbitrarily to suit their own designs. Will our protagonist use this power selfishly, or will they find a way to use it to the benefit of the world?
Welcome to the Relationship Editor application.
You’ve been selected to receive this very unique opportunity to try out this product which is, as you’ve no doubt guessed, not a normal everyday app. This app analyzes the psyche of anyone you have a relationship with, and grants you very direct insight into their attitudes and feelings towards you. Yes, this is a magical effect. As you use the app and explore your relationships with it, you can track in real time how those relationships evolve. What’s more, you will earn energy, or points, that you can use to apply effects to your relationships, allowing you to grow or diminish certain attitude levels at unnatural rates, or at higher costs outright changing or removing certain traits. It is strongly recommended that you do not tell anyone else about the app, especially those whose relationships you are manipulating. What’s more, the app will hide itself from anyone but the user, making it difficult to divulge information on the app even should you choose to do so.

This story was inspired by a number of app based stories on this site, most notably the Affection Multiplier, the Kink Development Kit, and Soul Links. I wanted to try my hand at something similar, but put my own spin on it. This is my first story on this site, but not my first published story, so any and all feedback is appreciated. I may take suggestions on the course of the story moving forward, but I already have a lot planned out, so I probably won’t deviate too much on the overarching plot.
