Quantum Dream

Authors Note: This tale is story-driven with sexual aspects. Many chapters may not have sex scenes.

“John, John! John!”

John's eyes slightly opened. He’d fallen asleep on his bed, head encased in his Quantum Dream helmet. He sat up straight and glanced out his window. The sun was starting to set.

The doorbell rang. His older brother yelled again,”John! The doorbell! John!”

He slightly groaned and got up from his chair, walked into his restroom and washed his face. After washing his face John moved to the door and unlocked it. He didn’t always lock his door, but his brother started to “borrow” his games and never ended up giving them back. So, now he locks his room whenever he goes into the Dream Hub.

The hallway was clean but desolate. His mom and dad were always at work, which meant John and his brother, Jamie, were always home alone.

Walking into the living room he saw his brother lying on the couch, watching TV. His ruby-red hair was frazzled on one side from lying down on the couch. He looked like mom, red hair, tall, green eyes and probably the most important feature, his charming smile.

“John!”

“Jamie. I’m right here.”

“Fuck, stop watching porn and get the door.” He said while laughing.

The doorbell rang again while John walked towards the door and opened it. A man in brown uniform, was now in front of John, with a frugal smile sitting on his face,“I have a package for John Murray”.

“That’s me.”

“Yo, Johnis that the new porno game you bought.” His brother shouted.

John groaned and got the package from the delivery man, thanking him.

“Have a nice day”.

John walked into the kitchen and looked for a knife. He slit the package open and a small piece of paper fell out. He began to read the note:

“Yo, John come here!"

“I’m coming, give me a sec.” John went back into the living room. His brother hadn’t moved.

He stepped in front of his brother, showing him the package. “It’s the beta disk of this new game coming out in two months called Icarus. It’s a MMORPG for the Quantum Dream. You go into a fantasy world and fight people with swords and magic like Skyrim. In most games you have a cool down time after casting magic or doing a power move but I heard this game is different. Rumor is you have to use gestures and voice commands for your abilities.”

“Alright.” His brother answered. “Can I borrow it when you’re done?”

“Well thing is I got two disks, one for me and one for you. So how about we both go into the game at the same time?”

“Ya, that’s cool, thanks for giving me a copy.” His brother replied.

“Alright, I’ll call you when I’m ready to start.” John said.

John gave his brother the second copy and walked back to his room.

He shut the door and locked it.
