Of humans and Dragons
Body swapping
Chapter 1
by Chillclaw
You are Simon bellard a 26 year old lost in the modern world, also did I mention this world included anthropomorphic dragons? Humans have lived alongside dragons for thousands of years with several different clans of dragons existing throughout the world. In the west winged dragons and wingless drakes have commingled with humanity the most and through evolution and magic have attained forms similar to humans becoming anthro in nature and in some cases it wasn't strange for humans to marry and copulate with dragons resulting in human dragon hybrids. In western society as a whole dragons and humans get along incredibly well with very few issues mostly only pertaining to pure blooded nature of some bloodlines and other minor issues as the public itself cares little for these issues and mostly ignore them. Western technology is a fusion of sleek human technology and the refined magic of the dragons and drakes leading to countless breakthroughs in what is magi-science.
Oh pardon me, I think we got a little off track here back to our protagonist. Once more you are Simon Bellard, 26 years old and a wandering philosopher at heart though what this really means, is that you have no idea what you want to do with your life. You live in a small rural university town in the cold northern provinces, Snowmont in the greater drake valleys, Your day to day life consists of a decent paying delivery job and has for the last few years rent in this town is cheap compared to most nearby cities and has kept him here. Simon is not a very ambitious individual and living a simple life is more than enough, though lately you've been wanting something more. Companionship and someone to share his life with has been on his mind more and more, and it seems this day a delivery might just bring the change he has been looking for.
"hey Simon!" a tall black scaled drake called grabbing Simons attention. "I need you to take a package up the hill to the university!"
"got ya boss!" Simon responded taking the small package from the drake. "so, who is this for in specific?"
"A Mrs. Sedna apartment block 5 room 11. she asked for you in particular to deliverer it." just then any gumption Simon had was lost, of course it had to be the one girl at the college that annoyed the hell outta him. Sedna a cute frost drake in the same academic interests as him. Out of everyone in his philosophy courses she was the only one that constantly challenged him in his views on magic and spiritual matters, whenever she would pipe up against one of his points she would have a group of 4 or 5 others in the class backing her up shutting down his points or steering the discussion in a different direction. It made Simon clam up during class and just keep his eyes in his computer during class really it pissed him off and dispute his great papers and grades he could never counter her or talk anyone into seeing his point and eventually just gave up and just stuck to his computer and stewed in the back corner of the classroom for the rest of the year.
"Something wrong Simon?" his boss asked noticing his frustration.
"no nothing." Simon sighed. "alright ill get this done fast and be back in a flash!"
"don't worry about it Simon, this is the last delivery for the today so take the rest of the day off once your done!" the drake smiled at him and gave him a thumbs up.
"Oh sweet, thanks boss!" as Simon grabbed the package and took off he heard some off his other coworkers complain that that wasn't the last delivery for the day, only for boss to chew them out for their bellyaching maybe if they worked half as hard as Simon maybe it would be the last one for them. If their was one thing Simon prided himself on it was his hard work, no matter how mundane or complex the task given Simon would work as hard as he could.
The walk to the university was a cold one as always a few cars passed by kicking up snow but otherwise it was a quite snowy weekend with bird chirps bouncing off the snow covered forests and Leglo wolves passing by. The campus housing itself was quite dead most students stayed in their dorms on the weekend finally Simon got to Sednas dorm.
"okay, hopefully she isn't here and I can just slip the package through the slot and leave." Simon knocked on the door and waited, no response, he breathed a sigh of relief and just as he was about to slip the package through the mail slot and leave he heard her voice.
"OH SIMON!" keeping a sightly annoyed look on his face he turned to face, the voices source Sedna. If he didn't find her so annoying he would admit she was more than just cute. Sedna age 23 She stood at 5'5 light blue scales and a white chest running from under her chin down her belly and to the end of her tail. Her eyes were a stunning white, spiky Grey hair that fell to her back and 3 curved horns on each side of her head. In terms of clothes she wore a white tank top with partly zipped up blue vest holding her c-cup breasts she also had blue athletic shorts on top of tight black leggings with blue and black sneakers on her fit finishing the outfit. Overall despite the fact the Simon would never admit to it, she was hot.
"whats wrong, taking in the view?!" Sedna said in a flirty tone with a smile spread across her face leaning forward toward Simon showing off her breasts. "seeing anything you like?"
shaking his head Simon jerked back. "ack! Look here's your package!" he shoved the box into her arms and stormed passed her wanting to avoid any strange feeling he had towards her and any bad situation that might arise.
"wait hold on!" a cold but gentle scaly hand grabbed his stopping him in his tracks. "look...there's a reason I asked for you in specific to deliver this." Simon looked back at her with an annoyed face, expecting a smug look of arrogance, but instead saw a beet red dragoness with a quivering face her hair covering her eyes.
"I wanted to apologize" she started, "I can tell you don't like me that me countering your questions during our philosophy classes really annoyed you and the others that chimed in only did so to shut you down for no reason...but that's not the reason I always countered your questions." she finally let go of Simon’s hand and looked up at him, her red eyes puffy and filled with sadness.
"what do you mean?" Simon asked, and for once he wasn't annoyed with her.
Taking a deep breath Sedna composed herself. "I'll get right to the point, I was always interested in your thoughts regarding the subject and I Admired you if not love you!" as this was said the air around the two turned dead silent. Simon was wide eyed and didn't know how to respond to this. On the other hand Sedna while she held a composed face when she said it she slowly began to realize what she had said and her face was slowly turning red.
"well m-m-maybe not love, but I do highly respect your opinion and I think your cool far more than any other philosopher I met in my classes!" she sputtered, then she began to nervously laugh and in that moment she dropped her box and began to fall over thankfully Simon caught her.
"good god what was this about." Simon sighed. "I better get her inside before anyone sees this..." Simon found her key in one of her pockets and opened her door and collected Sedna and the box and brought them inside and laid her on a tan couch in her apartment. Simon sigh thinking he should call someone about this but who could he call that wouldn't think badly about him in this situation. Inwardly groaning Simon decided to hang around and wait for her to wake up.
Waiting around
