Tony Mauro sat outside the office of his uncle, Don Vincenzo, visibly sweating. He knew he was in big trouble, the fact that he was to sit outside under the gaze of a stony faced bodyguard instead of breezing straight in as usual testified to that.

His uncle, the Don, was head of one of the largest crime families in Florida. The Mauro family had a big slice of the , prostitution and racketeering in Miami and the surrounding area. Their rivals however were just as powerful and Tony knew it was because of that fact he was in big trouble. An altercation in a bar had turned ugly when he had made a pass at the woman of an out of town gangster.Tony's fragile temper had flared up when the man confronted and disrespected him and his fist had hit the other man squarely on his chin. Unfortunately the man's head had hit a stool as he fell and the man was in a coma. Further bad luck had followed when it turned out the man was the son of one of the New York bosses in Miami for sit down with a local family.

A second bodyguard emerged from the door to Don Vincenzo's study and whispered in his colleague's ear before addressing Tony.

"The Don will see you now Tony." He informed the mafia boss's nephew.

"About fucking time." Tony grumbled, getting to his feet and brushing down his Armani suit. "I've been sat outside here nearly an hour."

As Tony headed to the door he was brought up short as the second bodyguard refused to step aside and held out his meaty hand.

"I'll need your piece Tony. The Don's orders." He demanded.

Tony's heart sank, the only reason he could think for being made to disarm before meeting his uncle was that he'd finally gone too far and that even his own blood had given up on him. He was sure now he wouldn't be leaving that study alive. Nevertheless he still couldn't bring himself to openly defy the head of his family and make the attempt to shoot his way out. With bad grace he surrendered his pistol and the bodyguard stepped aside.

"Tony, Tony, Tony." Don Vincenzo said sadly and wearily as his nephew approached his desk. "What have I done that you must disrespect me like this? Your stupid temper has brought our family to the brink of war. The other families have made an ultimatum, your or outright war."

Tony hung his head a moment and then straightened himself up to look his uncle in the eye. If he was to die he intended to face his fate bravely and with manly dignity.

"I am sorry my Don." He said sincerely. "If my is for the good of the family then I accept my fate."

Tony braced himself expecting to hear the door open behind him as one of the Don's bodyguards entered to kill him. He tried to appear calm, hoping that the end would be a quick bullet rather than a garrote. Several seconds went by in silence before the Don spoke again.

"If you had made any other answer you would be lying dead by now Tony." The aging mafia boss said. "But you have shown that whatever faults you have you are still loyal and my brother's son, the man I was grooming to succeed me as Capo."

"I have been given permission to deal with you myself rather than hand you over for execution." Don Vincenzo went on. "I will give you one last chance and a choice. I can give you a new identity, a whole new life here in Miami even, but to the rest of the world Tony Mauro must die."

Tony breathed out slowly, unaware until that moment that he'd been holding his breath as the Don spoke. So he had a chance after all. Even though he'd been prepared to die if there was a way out of this he would grasp it with both hands.

"I choose to live Don Vincenzo." Tony answered. "And I hope I can redeem myself in your eyes and continue to serve the family."

The Don stared at Tony for a moment and nodded before pressing a button on his desk's intercom. Tony heard the click of the door and and the sound of footsteps behind him, but he breathed easy in the knowledge that this was not his executioner. The old man looked at Tony thoughtfully before speaking again.

"I hope you do Tony, but now is not your final choice. The new identity you must assume must be airtight and you will need all your strength to assume it." Vincenzo said gravely. "This is Paulina Ponti, go with her and she will explain better than I could what your new identity entails and then make your decision, either way Tony Mauro will be dead within the day."

Tony realised he had been dismissed and nodded his acceptance to his uncle and wished him farewell before turning to the stranger. He was surprised to see that Paulina Ponti was barely in her twenties and an astonishingly attractive woman. She wore an expensive trouser suit and white shirt that was unbuttoned to show a great deal of cleavage from her ample breasts. Long raven hair cascaded over her shoulders and framed beautiful Mediterranean features. Both the name and something about the girl's pale grey eyes were familiar, but Tony could not place them immediately. She jerked her head towards the door impatiently.

"Come with me Tony, I have a car waiting." Paulina ordered in a sultry voice deeply accented in Italian.

Tony followed the young woman out, noting that the bodyguards made no move to return his piece as he left. He followed Paulina down the corridor and could not help but admire the girl's ass in the well tailored suit as it jiggled seductively in front of him. His mind wandered as he imagined bending this Paulina over and fucking her from behind. Tony clicked his fingers as it suddenly came to him why the woman might seem familiar.

"Paulina Ponti? You must be related to old Paulie Ponti, my uncles right hand man." Tony asked. "You have his eyes. I was sorry to hear of the old man's , though I can't recall you from his funeral. You are his daughter or perhaps his grandaughter?"

The woman laughed and turned to face Tony putting her hands on her wide hips. Once again Tony was struck by how beautiful the young woman was and the desire he had to fuck her.

"Tony, I sat you on my knee when you were just a baby and watched you grow up." Paulina replied. "I'm not Paulie Ponti's daughter or grandaughter. I am Paulie Ponti."

How can this be true?
