Lovely, Dark, and Deep

Welcome to “Lovely, Dark, and Deep!” For the moment, this is a fairly linear, serialized piece about Jaq, our protagonist and point-of-view character, who’s a freshly-sired and -abandoned vampire in the world of Vampire: The Masquerade. Some of the VtM lore is going to be pretty fast and loose, so if you’re a purist, yes, I’m aware what I say may mash together 2nd, Revised, and V20 or something, but I was more concerned with the pieces that best fit together dramatically (though yeah, you’ll probably see Revised the strongest since it’s what I usually play). Plus, they’re so cagey on if vampires fuck and/or enjoy it, and for a sexy story, better the answer just be yes and yes.

The big reason for an intro is a warning: being based on VtM, while a lot of the story is drama, politics, and sex, some of it IS horror. There will be grim, disturbing things happening from time to time because the Kindred don’t play well with others. Generally, these won’t be in the same breath as a sex scene besides, y’know, sometimes a vampire eats a person, but some of the ones I’ve worked up are bracing enough that even if I wasn’t boner-in-hand, I’d be pretty shaken coming across it in my erotica without warning. So, blood, , improper blending of architectural styles, just get ready for that business.

That said, this IS primarily an erotica/romance piece, so it’s mostly supposed to be whackin’-it fuel, not deterrent. The main path is a vampire romance (often lesbian one, but occasional dicks will happen) with elements of political and supernatural thriller as our hero tries to unravel the complex web of influence, lies, and viscera at the heart of her city. I do not deal in , , or (like, a werewolf is fine, but not a dog), so if those are musts for you, I am sorry. If those are hard “no’s,” for you, then read ahead! I hope you guys enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.

Oh, and if the spirit moves you, all up for seeing different paths Jaq could take, especially since I’ll pretty much just be on the main road for a while.
