Chapter 1 by BoobSweat BoobSweat

"SHIT!"

I panicked as my flask was shot out of my hand by a skeleton archer. I reached down to my shoe and pulled out another miniature flask that explodes on impact.

"Well throw your damn thing. QUICKLY!" My knightly friend, Lucas, screamed out as he was being dragged by another skeleton.

I threw the flask in between the two skeletons and they both burst into bones on impact.

My friend mouthed a "thank you" as I tossed him a healing flask. I turned to him with a smirk, "Shit man, I'm always the one saving your ass, maybe we should split the pot 40-60, whadya say?"

"Yeah right," he mumbled.

We huddled next to each other as he cracked the flask into his mouth. He glowed red for a moment as he dug into his bag. He pulled out the map we had gotten from the locals and looked down to where we had tracked ourself.

"Look, we're super close to the treasure room!" he excitedly sputtered out.

"What's that drawing in between us and the treasure room?" I asked.

It was a childish drawing of some snakes and bats in a hallway that seperated us and the next room.

He folded up the map and looked up to me with a smile, "We'll just have to find out."

We both faced circular dungeon door and slowly rolled it open. To my surprise the room looked surprising large, it had to have been around 40 feet long and 20 feet wide. There were two very large pillars in the center of the room, and the whole room was covered in ebonstone tiles.

"Well this is ominous ain't it." Lucas worridly muttered.

I pushed him in, "You first! You have the poison ornament on right now!"

He shook his head and begrudgingly agreed.

He took one step in and instantly clicked a tile. At least a dozen snakes fell from the ceiling and landed by his feet.

"Shit!" He screamed out as he was bit multiple times. He sliced them like steaks with his broadsword and soon there were no more. He looked down at the poison ornament he was wearing around its neck as it started to glow purple. He sighed a sigh of relief as his feet steamed a little bit as the ornament did its job.

"The ones that are marked with a yellow symbol like this are trapped," he said as he pointed down at the tile.

I stepped in and carefully traversed the hallway with him. We soon found ourselves facing the golden door that stood at the end of the hallway. I reached into my satchel and pulled out the dark bat shaped red key I had bought from that merchant earlier, and inserted into the keyhole.

The door made a click noise as we both looked at each other with excitement.
