Gullibility Ray

Late one night a mad scientist worked tirelessly in his lab. See, this particular mad scientist is a chyoa reader. If you guessed from the title is a big fan of the Gullibility syndrome story. In fact he was inspired by it.

This is what led to months of working in secret. Perfecting the his greatest work. The gullibility ray his pride and joy. The scientist was tempted to keep this beauty all to himself. However, he decided that was not in the true spirit of the story. Thus he actually made two. One he would keep for himself. The other he would randomly gift to someone in the multiverse.

Our mad scientist can achieve this thanks to his earlier invention. One that can open portals in the multiverse. Which he made after seeing a recent movie.

Moving to his portal machine he typed in commands. He wanted to set the machine to random. So, that his invention could be found by anyone. Whether they be in his dimension or another. He even set up a tracking system on it so he could see who gets it.

After all why not watch whatever pervert finds his machine, it would be hot to see them gain a harem or just mess with people. Might even give him some ideas. With the settings put in he powers on the machine. Watching as the portal forms. Grabbing the ray he attaches a note to it. The note simply explains what they ray does.

The note:

“Hello lucky user! You have been gift the gullibility ray. This might look like a cheap toy but looks are often deceiving. Like the name suggests this ray will make the target completely gullible. There are three settings. At zero the ray is in safety mode and will not fire. At level one the target will only be gullible to the user who fired the ray gun. At level two the target will be so gullible they will believe anyone! Please enjoy your amazing gift.”

Our mad scientist smiled now that everything was set. All that was left was to send it off. Moving to the portal he dropped the ray gun inside. Smiling as the fun had begun.
