Stage Hand

Mark Davison worked as a stage hand in London. The studio where he worked was the filming location for several scenes for Mission Impossible 8, which starred such actresses as Hayley Atwell, Vanessa Kirby, and Pom Klementieff. Mark's job was to go to the stars' dressing rooms and let them know they were needed on stage, bring coffee and drinks to them between scenes, and other menial tasks.

One day on his way to work, Mark notices what looked to be like a ray gun on the subway. He picked it up and suddenly knew what it was for.
