The original was about a jelly tentacled alien. The basic premise that you awaken, not knowing what you are and with a compulsion to breed, is the same.

Story includes several branches that can kill you. I've tried to include useful information as part of the narrative of these endings, so you at least learn something about your creature and the wider world of the story before getting stomped and trying again. For example, if you chose everything right the first time you wouldn't know much about what's happening outside your characters point of view, so don't worry about dying. There is no game scoring or anything so just go back to the previous chapter if you like, no need to start over.

All non- branches eventually lead to the small town of Castle Rock, so that will be a good chapter to bookmark.

The Beginning

You awaken in darkness with the unmistakable sense that you are tumbling.

"Where am I?"

Your recollections are a blank, it is as though this is all that has been for you, yet you know there is more in the universe than darkness. Vague concepts and thoughts claw at the back of your mind, yearning to breakthrough into knowing.

There's something else; you feel that gravity has no hold over you; there is no pull within the darkness directing your mass. You know nothing, yet you instinctively know that this is not 'normal'.

You stretch out, searching for the limits of your world and finding nothingness. Despite this, you become aware of a vibration all around you.
