Adventures in the Mountains of Solitude

As a farm lad, growing up in the rain-soaked lowlands of Trin, you've always been fascinated by the great Mountains of Solitude; an impossibly large wide range of peaks so cold and desolate that even the tough and stone-loving Dwarves were unable to tame. As a child you would listen, enraptured, to the tales of adventurers who had journeyed across the region, and now as a man you spend hours staring up at the imposing peaks, imagining what it would be like to leave your cripplingly mundane farm life behind and venture out into their barren wastes.

As luck would have it, in the spring just after your 19th winter, a small, struggling expedition passed through your village looking for supplies for a journey into the mountains. With the help of your father, who hoped the trip would help get the wanderlust out of your system, you managed to barter your way into the group in a deal for some oxen and food supplies.
