Into the mountains...

"Halt!" Gideon, the leader of the expedition, cries back from the head of the caravan, signalling the party to stop.

As you were stuck at the rear, it takes you awhile to make your way up the narrow mountain pass to see what's the matter. There appears to have been a rock slide, which has blocked the path and it looks like it could take hours to clear.

"Ah, Farmboy, just the lad I was looking for" chimes Gideon upon seeing you approach. "Do you remember that branching path about a quarter mile back along the route?"

You nod in agreement.

"Well, I need you to take Sylvia there" he says, pointing to the young elf maiden accompanying your party, "and I want you to help her scout out the route, this will likely take most of the day to clear at best so if I can avoid it I will. Of course, if you wanted to stay here and help us move this I could always send someone else."
