A new wife's plaything

Xchange has a new product, a libido increasing wedding band. Marriage will never be the same

Chapter 1 by outa outa

As a basic chemical consequence of testosterone's effect on the body, men have always been the hornier sex. In the ancestral environment this drove men to compete in order to reproduce with any woman that would let them, furthering evolution through the survival of the fittest. In the modern day with modern marriage however this drive mismatch leads to much unnecessary conflict. Enter the xchange corporation's newest invention, the libido ring.

The libido ring is a very simple product. Any normal ring can be treated with a new proprietary coating by the xchange corporation. A treated ring will increase the wearer's sex drive substantially. There are different levels of treatment from one's that only slightly increase drive, to equalizing the effects of testosterone and beyond.

The product would find a natural market where you might expect, porn sets, sex clubs and swinger's parties. But the xchange corporations wanted to target a much bigger demographic. They copied the diamond engagement ring playbook and marketed their service to be used on wedding bands. They produced studies that showed marriages where the wife had a high libido were less likely to end in divorce, more satisfying for both spouses and even led to longer life expectancies. Not to mention the promise of even more sex after the wedding was a great incentive for women to dangle over men dragging their feet on a proposal.

They were featured in every romantic comedy and sitcom that aired. Ads declaring war on unhappy marriages. The marriage counselor's union, a entity started by the xchange corporation, endorsed libido rings as the first line of defense against marital strife. Diamonds were forever and libido rings would keep them on your finger.

The pitch worked. Marriage consummations everywhere got a lot more fun. Rates of marriage rose and the xchange corporation became very rich. It was now simply understood that a wedding band would be a libido ring.
