Nora and Nate were a loving couple who had settled down in the quaint town of Sanctuary Hills on the outskirts of Boston. Life was going well, Nate had returned home from the war and the two had welcomed a beautiful son Shaun into their peaceful lives. In a perfect world, this is exactly how things would have remained until their dying days, but unfortunately for the pair, life was rarely quite so ideal.
On one fateful day, October the 23rd 2077, tragedy struck. News spread within seconds that nuclear bombs had been launched targeting all of the main cities in the US. With hope dwindling thin, Nate and Nora ran for their lives to the nearby vault 111, the only possible chance at saving themselves and their son. Thankfully the three of them were on the exclusive list of residents who would be allowed into the vault. With only moments to spare, they just made it into the vault before the blast wave from the bomb reached them.
A wave of relief washed over the pair as they reflected on how close they had come to certain but within moments they were being swept through by men and women in lab coats to be processed. As the part of the screening process both Nora and Nate were put in fairly form fitting blue jumpsuits and ushered into a detoxification room to be cleaned before being shown to their new living quarters where they'd supposedly be staying until things cleared up outside the vault.
This is where our story begins, with you, Nora, in one pod and Nate in another just opposite with baby Shaun in hand, the two of you take a shared deep breath before being decontaminated.
