  1. Neon Lust by TheSpectator

Neon Shroud is a cyberpunk metropolis where neon lights pierce the perpetual winter gloom, and skyscrapers touch the smog-choked sky. This city is a blend of high-tech marvels and dystopian decay, where cybernetic enhancements are as common as the snow that blankets its streets. Here, holographic billboards flood the air with messages, and the populace navigates a world where information is currency, privacy is extinct, and every corner tells a story of survival in a society split between the haves and have-nots.

  2. The Life Plan Correction by Aphelion

In the near future opportunities have outstripped human resources as universal education uses AI to tailor itself to individual student needs, and identifies every nuance of citizens's talents and interests to help them find purpose in life that leaves them fulfilled, and lets them contribute to society. But not all humans are easily satisfied. Some never can be. Some people run through dozens of jobs they enjoy, never staying for long, and so never settle into a role and bring experience or efficiency to their work. Others go into massive debt, either living outside their historically ample means, or gambling it all away. Some just chafe under society's expectations, never applying themselves, failing in school or work despite every indication that they should do better. Those who cannot be satisfied, who risk it all or fail against the odds, are assigned a Life Plan. To correct their risky behavior their life is put into someone else's hands, given an editable plan to make them operate at their full potential. A minor surgery implants a behavior-modification chip that makes it so to them, these dropouts of society, their Life Plan becomes their guiding purpose. And therefore the holder of their Life Plan becomes their personal ruler. It is the only humane solution. Who could stand to watch their fellow human being end up in prison or starving on the street, deprived of purpose and of social value? *inspired by the hentai Dropout (image source), as well as the anime Kakegurui, and threads here like the Affection Multiplier. Contains themes of control, possession, abiding care, empathy/compassion for misfits, and primeval passion (and all the contrasts those themes imply).
