Hogsmeade

You unstopper the vial and take a sip of the golden potion. You feel it go down your throat and settle in your stomach. As it does, you’re suddenly struck by the notion that something important is happening in Hogsmeade. You can’t remember what it is, but this is one time where you can really trust your instincts.

As you make your way through the Entrance Hall, you notice a number of other students walking in your direction. You remember that today is one of weekends where Hogwarts students are allowed to visit Hogsmeade. You guess that the town will be full today.

You’re drawn with the growing crowd down the path towards Hogsmeade. Looking around, you can’t see anyone that you know, but something inside you suggests that you’ll come across someone soon. As you expect, Hogsmeade is bustling. Good weather, combined with lower amounts of homework due to the time of year, means that nearly every student – and many professors – who can come have decided to join the throngs.

You stop in the middle of the main street in Hogsmeade and look around. You need to decide where to go. Slowly, you scan each building and shop to see if anything catches your eye. You notice that The Three Broomsticks has an enticing scent wafting out the door, possibly a new recipe for Butterbeer. Zonko’s Joke Shop has fireworks jetting out from the chimney, sending a flurry of glitter down onto the milling crowds beneath it. Finally, you perceive a particularly brooding feeling coming from The Shrieking Shack.
