you wake to an alarm

Coming out of the dream feels like your brain being pulled right through your skull to be exposed to all the dirt and grime of the real world. Your memories and experiences come flooding back in. Like learning that Santa wasn't real you felt innocence wash out of your body. Something true and wonderful and good about the world was lost in a way that cannot be recovered. Soon all knowledge of the dream escapes your memory and you are able to focus on your surroundings. Cerve's avatar is waiting patiently nearby.

Cerve : "Good morning Alex, I hope you had sweet dreams. Take your pill and head downstairs, you have a full day ahead of you."

You realize you still haven't tried out that Hologram set up in the basement yet and hope that Cerve has set out some time for it later. You grab a third pink pill and pop it into your mouth and chase it with a gulp of water. As you get out of bed you're reminded of the smooth night gown you're wearing and how incredible it feels on your hairless legs. Cerve's avatar points to the right chute. You grab and put on one of the workout outfits from yesterday. You guess you know what you're doing this morning. you had a little trouble getting the pants up your rump and are sure the top is tighter than before.

You head down to the kitchen and throw together a simple bowl of greek yogurt, fresh fruit and granola.

Alex : "so Cerve, what is the plan today?"

Cerve : "First you're going to go to the gym as you could probably tell by your outfit. Next you're going to relax and play around with your new hologram room until 4pm. finally you're going to Jeff's house for boardgame night."

You had totally forgot that was today. The excitement of your new AI companion had overshadowed everyone else but it was important to stay connected with your friends and you always had a great time at Jeff's. You'd known him since elementary school. You grew into pretty different people but had remained fast friends the whole time.
