Tanya saw her friends Whitney, Taylor, and McKenzie all standing by their table. They had put their book bags in the seats to hold them. Tanya walked over to them. "Hey, sorry I'm late."

"Did I really just see you pushing a cart for Kyle?" asked McKenzie.

Tanya blushed. "Just helping out," she said meekly.

"Geez, climb on the table and announce to everyone you're here to help all nerds!" said Taylor with a giggle.

Tanya pulled a chair away from the table, but instead of putting her backpack on it, she stepped up on it and then onto the table. "Everyone! I'm here to help all nerds!" she shouted before blushing deeply and quickly getting back down, heart racing.

"Like oh my god, I was just kidding!" said Taylor.

"Yeah, was that like supposed to be funny?" asked Whitney.

"Um, I don't want to talk about it," said Tanya. She put her backpack down, and the girls went to line. Today's lunch was spaghetti with meat sauce or vegetarian spaghetti, ham and cheese sandwiches with chips and a pickle spear, and desert choices of a brownie or peach cobbler.

"Ugh, I need to lose another five pounds," said Tanya glumly, but in the back of her mind, she was questioning her actions today.

"Girl, you're already too skinny," said Taylor. "Just pig out already! You can afford it!"

Before she knew it, Tanya got an order of spaghetti and meat sauce, a ham sandwich and both desserts. She put it on her lunch card, and quickly went back to the table as her friends watched with a mix of amusement and shock.

Back at the table, Tanya started to pig out: She started shoving food into mouth using her hands, even the spaghetti. She ate quickly, barely chewing and getting food around her mouth and on her chin.

The three other girls came over. "Tanya, what the hell?" said Whitney.

"Are you high or some shit?? asked Taylor.

"Stop!" said McKenzie.

Tanya stopped. She had spaghetti sauce on her chin, cheeks, and even the tip of her nose. She sat there still.

"Why are you doing whatever we tell you to do?" asked Whitney?
