as I looked around through eyes clouded by blood I could barely make out the shape of a winged humanoid, at this point I could barely process a thought, and simply collapsed into a heap.

the figure began to speak, "what did they do to you to you?!"

after taking a moment to muster enough strength I began to speak "h-he-hel-p m-me"

"oh! yeah, sure!"

the figure then formed a huge mass of bright light with his hands and pushed it into my flesh-ey blob of a body

new skill acquired: self control

the ability to control your self and biology, including emotions, allowing you to resist pain and reconcile biological changes

ahhhhh, finally, my body isn't melting.

the kind being began to speak again, "alright! now that that's fixed it's time for business, my name is ariel, I'm an angel. what's your name?

as the question was asked my body had finally finished reforming and I was able to get a better look at my surroundings, I was in some sort of roman temple, it had marble pillars complex engravings, the whole shebang.

and then there was the kind angel who had healed my ruined body, as I looked towards where the voice had come from I saw a femboy, he had a cute little halo and soft green hair-

"hey! stop ogling me"said ariel.

"awww, do I have to stop?" I asked.

"yes you do!" said ariel, slightly blushing.

"fiiiine. alright, what's the deal here?"

"well... you've been summoned by the dark as their champion and I'm here to convince you to join us instead, we're willing to give you some cool stuff in return for joining us."

"oooh, what can you offer?

"well... we can replace your core, there are some options."

a rush of knowledge entered my mind, along with a mental narraration of what each core would do.

"first is inspiring. wanna lead massive armies? this is the core for you! it gives your minio-I mean allies a buff equal to 5% of your stats and makes them more organized, including an immunity to fear, and it also increases your defenses by 40%."

ooh, noice.

"second is doom. this is a great core if you wanna disintegrate the forces of dark and turn castles into piles of rubble, it gives you a guarantee that your attacks will deal at least 5% of their damage and increases your magical and physical attack by 20%."

destruction? nah, too much work.

"third is beautiful. with this core you will at least look good, and when you defeat someone they fall in love with you, along with 20% more physical defense"

that seems ethically wrong.

hmm... I wonder, could I?

"could you just give me a third core?" I asked

"no! you were already falling apart when you got here, if I did that you'd die!"

"well could you just replace only one of my two?"

"fine but you'd better take all of the oaths."

oaths? what are thos-

"done, now I don't think you could survive changing species again so let's do the oaths" continued ariel.

oaths? sounds annoying, and no other goodies? aww.

ariel began to explain the oaths "first off we've got respect sacred ground, this means no burning churches, no killing priests, no **** or **** on holy land and so on, and gives you a 50% boost to stats when defending sacred ground."

I was gonna do that anyway as long as the church wasn't doing anything dubious.

"can I attack them if they're being evil?"

"I suppose?"

"second we have love humanity, this means no killing without cause, but doesn't include those fighting for the light or dark and those who attack first, and doubles the power of healing on light aligned humanoids, along with buffing your stats by 50% when protecting the innocent."

protecting the innocent is something I can do.

"third is eradicate the dark, basically just destroy evil and whatnot, it gives you a radar for evil and 10% more attack against evil beings."

yeah, I planned on a crusade so this is fine.

"I'll take 'em all!"

"now let me-wait what? all of them?"

"yup! in fact could you make me a couple more?"

"I-sure, I didn't expect this, but sure, what oaths do you want made?"

"I'd like purify the light and aid the saintesses"

"ok, what would those oaths do?" questioned ariel

"well purify the light means I have to remove corrupt officials and expose traitors and infiltrators, it basically just gives me a magic lie detector as a buff."

"and aid the saintesses is pretty self explanatory, just help the heroes and it slightly buffs my light/healing magic."

"those... seem pretty tame for a massive flesh blob. okay, sure!" agreed ariel.

"lemme just get those whipped up."

ariel closed his eyes for a few seconds and then reached his hand out to my still shapeless mass of a body, as he touched me I felt my mind warp slightly to fit my oaths.

Is that all?

after a moment he reopened his eyes and returned to speaking "now, back to business, each oath lets you choose two angel blessings and one divine miracle."

wait, what? I thought they just gave me a small buff. but I'll never say no to more power.

"anyway since you went overboard with those oaths you get 10 whole blessings! but... we only had 6 lined up so I suppose I'll just have to buff some of them for you." he explained

"first up, humanity, this lets you return to a human form that you choose as a spell, but it doesn't have all of your stats, and if you die in this form you turn back into a monster."

"ooo, can I look like you?" I asked.

ariel puffed up his cute chest with pride "yes you can! good choice."

"next is domain, basically just your own pocket dimension, about 10,000 square acres with terrain made just for you."

"does it come with natural resources?"

"we can add those if you want."

"thank you, please add some fruit trees and lots of iron. and potatos, I like potatos"

"okay, third is immaculate conception. this one lets you summon robotic light infused minions that don't feel pain or fear and follow your orders to a Tee, this means that you don't need to worry about the ethics of sending your children into battle"

"nice, could you infuse my children with light instead? I plan on zero casualties anyways"

"sure, but this would also make them more intelligent and empathetic too, so they might start having ethical qualms about following orders."

"that's fine, I need an organized army, and this seems like it would help"

"I guess I could do that."

"fourth is warmth, this infuses you with an aura of light to make you seem less evil and intimidating."

"that's actually super useful, can you make it hereditary so my children can also live normally?"

"that's... weirdly normal, I oughtta check if those horny idiots accidentaly summoned a sane person."

"hey, they may be evil idiots but they were smart enough to pick me, give them some credit."

"okay,whatever. on to number five, god's eye, this is your isekai bread-and-butter stat seeing emotion checking insight skill."

"yeah, that'll be useful. gimme!"

"okay, last but not least, my protection! this means that you gain immunity to a plethora of status effects and instant **** effects, along with a 200% increase of your defenses."

that's actually great for a tank like me, I'll take it

for the first miracle we have god's blade! this one creates a massive wave of non-elemental energy and even if that doesn't work this triples your followers stats for an hour

I'll take that one just for the buff

[a] alright, and number 2 is enoch, this one fuses your soul to your body and gives you a 15X stat multiplier, but if you die in this form you can't be revived at all, so use this with caution

[a] next up is pure land, this miracle makes a wellspring of pure mana attuned to you and your followers it gives you a 7x stat multiplier, and a small amount of exp daily

can I put it in my domain?

[a] I uh... never thought of that but... yeah! although unless you are in the domain you won't get exp and your stat multiplier will be halved.

yeah, still worth it
