What's next?
totally the exit
It probably should go without saying that at this point I was very much over the whole getting killed in numerous creative ways stick of this place.
And so, with a sense of dread, I stepped through the door and found myself in a bedroom.
“Ah, welcome!”
Like in many rooms before Beatrice was in here. This time she looked surprisingly normal for this hellhole, but that wasn’t saying much.
“Come here!”
Naturally, I wanted to resist but an unseen force pushed me straights towards the evil witch. I mentally prepared myself for what torture would now inevitably follow...only to get pressed against her bosom.
Huh?
“It must have been tough, right? Don’t worry, you are safe in here.” Beatrice gently caressed my head as she spoke in a soothing voice.
N-No, this is a trick! The witch is going to brutally murder me anytime!
“I’m not doing anything like that”, the mind reading witch said with a sigh. “You found the one door that is safe, don’t worry.”
Well, it was true that up until now the doors hardly wasted any time of brutally murdering me. This was clearly different.
“You do know”, Beatrice started. “That there is only one way out of this labyrinth, right?”
I gulped. “You mean…”
The witch nodded. “To surrender. Submit to me.”
“I...I can’t”, I replied weakly.
“Being my slave isn’t so bad. See? I can be nice. Just let it happen.”
I understood what this was. But even so, my heart had trouble refusing the alluring prospect of salvation.
“I make it easy for you”, the witch purred. “See? Just click here. Why suffer any longer? Just give in.”
I was tempted, so tempted to it. This warmth, this gentle embrace. I need it.
“If you don’t it’s going back to getting crushed, drowned, burned. Did you already find the door where I rap?” Beatrice cackled. “That one is true torture.”
“W-what if I just stay here?”, I timidly asked.
The witch smiled. “Oh, I don’t mind this at all. In that case I will just continue to melt your will to resist away. We have a lot of time for that, Mari.”
As I was taking another deep breath I pondered what I should do.
