Zombies

I see a zombie limping towards me. I hear it groan and snarl. It is wearing torn clothes with blood stains and has bits of its flesh missing. Its bones are showing on its left fingers and right foot. I use Observe on it and ready my katana, brining out my boots and claws and casting Ancient Beastial Strength.

I smile seeing it's weak to fire and cast Flare on my blade before charging it. I duck under its slow slash with its arm and I swing my blade into its chest.

I see an image from Clairvoyance of the Zombie biting me and I immediately turn into a zombie. I quickly Blink away and turn back around. I cast Flare and hit it with it.

Fuck! I think while looking at the faintly glowing bone that dropped. I store it away and VERY carefully start walking down the hall with my cloak pulled over my head. I encounter four more Zombies. Fortunately none of them are together. I take each out by using Flare from a distance and finishing them with one slash of my blade. I get 2000 more Exp, 2281$, two common drops and two rare. I find a group of three Zombies. Fortunately they haven't noticed me yet, since I'm behind some rubble. I take a deep breath and am about to Multicast Flare when I get a better idea. I pick up a small rock and toss it against the wall a few feet away. The Zombies notice and slowly walk towards it. Once they get close enough I Blink behind them. I use Elemental Breath using fire as my chosen element. Fortunately they're close enough to all get hit at the same time.

I jump back, avoiding the remaining Zombies scratch. It lets out a roar and starts running at me. Running isn't right, it's more speed walking than running. I bring my blade down on it and it falls to the ground.

I quickly collect the drops and continue. I don't encounter anymore Zombies but I do stumble upon the boss. It's a giant beast that looks like a troll. It's at least ten feet tall and holds a long wooden club in its right hand. Its flesh is falling off on its shoulder and legs. I use Observe on it while hiding in the shadows.

I quickly read all of this and think if I can kill it. Its gonna be strong. And it's Class is Bitter like the zombies. If it bites me I'll turn into one. It's Title is interesting. Does Source mean it's the original? Is it the first Zombie, or Undead? It doesn't matter. I'll fight it. The Devils are sure to be much tougher than this. If I run here how can I face them. I take a deep breath and steel myself. I decide to start the fight with a Ancient Beast Slash. I send it at the Troll and it connects with it's back.

Good, only 1482 HP left. I can finish this with another slash. I think as I recast Ancient Beast Slash. This time however, the troll hits my slash midair and destroys it. I curse under my breath and charge it with my blade ready. I Blink away from its club and slash across its back.

I'm about to swing again when it grabs me with it's free hand. I look at it and see its turned its arm in a way that shouldn't be possible. I try to Blink away but I can't, Instead I get another notification.

Unable to Blink while body is stuck.

The troll moves me around to its face and opens its mouth. I try to swing my blade but my weapon is stuck on its fingers. My mind empties as everything appears to move in slow motion. No thoughts come to mind, only a calm and empty silence. The next thing I know, everything's cold. I feel cool air across my skin and my breath becomes visible. I look to the troll and see it's covered in ice. It's now that I notice three popups

I notice the trolls arm is frozen as well and break my self free. I fall to the ground and look at the frozen beast. It's now I realized I Multicasted Draconic Ice subconsciously. The result of it froze the beast entirely and stopped it from biting or eating me. I quickly stab my blade into its chest, not wanting to find out if it could break free.
