Chapter 113 by voidcaller17 voidcaller17

Another Near Experience

Some Shocking Rewards

I slowly stand back up and Observe the items I've got from the Zombies and the Troll.

Undead Bones (20) Common Crafting Material

These bones were taken from an Undead creature. The bones still comtain some of the creatures magic. This makes them durable and tough but also tainted. They can wither away a persons psyche just by being in physical contact.

Undead Dust (10) Rare Alchemy Ingredient

This dust is all thats left of a Undead creatures core. The core is what powers a Undead and brings them back to life. The dust still contains some of the cores magic. This allows it to be a good ingredient in resurrection potions. However consuming it will afflict the drinker with the Undead curse.

Trolls Club Lvl 30 rare

This massive wooden club has been made by a troll. It was originally a tree striped and carved to be turned into this. The club requires 250 Strength to weild properly. It deals 300-400 damage. Hidden Properties: +5 STR, -10 INT.

Trolls Heart Epic Alchemy Ingredient

This heart was taken from a Troll. It is the source of the beast supernatural healing ability. This makes it a must have Ingredient for creating high end healing potions. Has 50/50 uses remaining.

I store the materials away and get an idea. I check the time and see I have six minutes until lunch. I open my material bag and inventory and look through them. I'm wanting to sell the materials I wont be using. I scan the 20 Undead Bones and 10 Undead Dust onto the auction site. The bones go for 500 a piece and the dust goes for 750 per. I scan my 34 Rat Fur and 21 Rat Bones. The fur goes for 100 a piece and the bones go for 200 per. I go ahead and scan my 17 Nature Elemental Fragments as well. They end up going for 500 a piece. Finally I scan the Trolls Club, and it sells for 7,250. I debate adding the Collar of Enslavement. It's an interesting item but... It won't work on anything higher level. I wonder if... it does. Okay, I can use Craft to increase its level with money. I could try upgrading it a bunch to work on a Devil or something. Hmm, for now I'll keep it. I confirm it and the same looking fox appears. It takes all the items in the basket except for the club. It puts its paw on the club and yelps, causing the club to be engulfed in light before disappearing. It jumps on the basket and yelps again before glowing and vanishing. I look back to my device and see the confirmation message. I drop my Market Device when I read the amount of money I made. I pick it back up and reread it. 40,850$! Holy shit! I store the device away and open my notifications.

Elemental Breath Lvl 2

Elemental Breath now deals (INT × 2.5) damage and has a slightly increased range.

Draconic Ice Lvl 2

Draconic Ice now deals (INT × 1.5) damage and has a higher chance of freezing.

New Achievement: Beginner Merchant

You've sold a total of 50,000$ to others! Rewards: +5 LUK and +3 WIS

I smile and open my character sheet.

I close my character sheet and exit the Dungeon. I go back to the still empty bathroom and leave. I check the time and see lunch started four minutes ago. I go to the cafeteria and I find Hino and Myla standing by the doors. They walk up to me and greet me when they see me.

"Hey Eric, did you bring your lunch? And how was your morning?" Myla asks walking up to me.

"It was fine. And yes I brought mine, why do you ask?" I say and Hino steps forward and answers.

"We need to talk but it'll probably take most of our lunch period. Let's go." She raises one hand and starts marching like I've seen kids do. I smile and chuckle softly making sure she doesn't hear. I follow her and we start climbing the stairs. Once we past the third floor I ask where we're going.

"We're going to the roof. We need to talk about Lyna stuff and it's best to do that privately. And before you ask, yeah, we are allowed on the roof. The principal gave us a spare key to the lock for times like these." Myla answers and I see Hino pull a key out and unlock the door. She opens it and shuts and locks it after were through.

"Let's eat first." Hino says pulling a blanket from her spatial pouch. She lays it down and pulls a red lunch box from her pouch as well. I see Myla pull a orange one out and sit down. I join them taking mine from my inventory. We talk about school and I ask Hino what she needed help with in math.

"I just don't understand fractions." She answers before sighing and making Myla laugh.

"Oh yeah, those suck. Even with Eric's help I still barely solve them."

"I still don't get what's so confusing about them." I say taking a bite out of my apple. Myla groans and Hino takes a piece of paper from her backpack.

"Then solve this question. 2/9 of the people on a restaurant are adults. If there are 95 more children than adults, how many children are there in the restaurant?" She says smugly, wanting to see me fail.

"That's easy... There are 133 children." I say confidently after a short pause to do the math.

"Explain!" Hino says still smugly smiling.

"Well, let me show you." I say taking out a piece of paper. I draw two squares labeled as adults and seven labeled as kids. "Okay so this is the amount of adults and this is the amount of kids." I point to each label to show them. "So we need to find the amount each square represents. We do this by crossing out the two adults and two kids. We get left with five squares, which we know adds up to 95. So now just divide 95 by 5 to get 19. Then multiply 19 by 7 to get 7/9 children." I set my pencil down and smile.

"Wait. Why did you cross out the two squares?" Myla asks me confused.

"Because there's 95 more children than adults. So we needed to ignore those squares. Then figure out how many each square represented." My answer confuses her more and Hino just keeps looking at the paper.

"How did you figure this out that fast?" Hino asks in disbelief causing me to laugh. "It's not funny!"

"Sorry, sorry. But I just solved it quickly. I saw how to find the answer and did so. I showed you guys the squares because it's easier to understand if you can visualize it. Or so I hear. Anyway I doubt you brought me up here to study, right?"

"No, we needed to talk about the Devils." Myla says and Hino sighs.

"The Devils?"
