Zoey Freaks Out

Zoey wandered behind her boyfriend and his ex-girlfriend, the redhead, couldn't get the voice of Eric professing his love out of her head. Eric loved Anna, Zoey wasn't naive in knowing he felt something for her, but she thought with their relationship and, what she felt was a secure connection, he'd have moved on. But she was wrong, and it it was breaking her fucking heart. Eric was her first boyfriend; he was so sweet and kind to her, they were damn near best friends before he suddenly asked her out. Zoey thought that meant that Eric would only want to be with her, with the girl that he was with, instead, he chose to cling to Anna!

Zoey's bottom lip trembled as she began to blame herself once again, knowing that if she just listened to Eric yesterday, and let him stay away from Anna, then they would have been just fine. Anna clearly still loved him, she noticed that when they found each other at the store, but Zoey was too hopeful. Too confident that Eric would remain loyal. And what hurt the poor girl, even more, was the fact that Eric wasn't even walking with her, he had been keeping his distance from her.

Zoey lifted her head for a moment and heard Eric talking with Rachel about the travel time, before lowering it once more. She felt her body shiver and eyes turn slightly wet; she couldn't understand what she did wrong, what more did Eric need from her? With a soft sniffle, Zoey looked back up and instantly froze her jaw dropping in hurt as she watched Eric move to Anna's side. A small broken squeak left the girls mouth before she quickly turned around and ran off, she attempted to stay on the trail, but her soaked blurry eyes promptly made her veer off course.

Zoey felt sick, so hurt by this that her she nearly started heaving. Eventually, after close to ten minutes of aimlessly running, she let herself fall, just barely able to catch herself on a tree while she loudly cried. Zoey cried, and cried for nearly thirty minutes, her face burning red and her ear in pain from the amount of pressure from her hard tears. Soon Zoey's tears gave way to pure silence as she took broken gasping breaths, her eyes just staring off, no thoughts even sitting in her head.

It wasn't until Zoey noticed the snow falling around her and the nip of a cool breeze that her eyes went wide in fear. She spun around and began to take deep breaths, where the hell was she? Zoey's lips trembled along with her entire body as she attempted to backtrack, her own trail losing visibility with each passing minute. "Oh my god, oh my god, what'd I do? What did I do?!" Zoey shouted out as the snow began to fall faster, her vision of the trail disappearing before her very eyes. By the time twenty minutes passed she was all alone, deep inside the entire snowstorm, "ERIC! Eric where are you! Please!" She wailed while spinning around her eyes pouring with tears of fear, "Help me!"

Suddenly Zoey heard the crunching of snow, she spun towards it and with the intense snowfall couldn't even see what was only mere feet in front of her, "W-Who's there?" Zoey whimpered out, fearing that it was an animal.
