Luckily It's Only Kenny

"Zoey!" Kenny exclaimed as the redhead came into view, the girl immediately burst into a minor cry and dove towards him, taking the teen into an embrace, one very needed for the terrified girl, "Whoa, are you okay?" Kenny's voice asked, fighting against the wind,

"What do we do?! Where are we?!" Zoey cried out while squeezing Kenny tight for protection,

"I don't know!" Kenny called back while looking around, "I was trying to follow my flags back to the cabin, but I can't see shit in this storm! Where's Rachel and the others?!"

"I don't know! I don't know! I don't know!" Zoey cried into the teen's chest, her whole body shaking, "We're gonna die!"

Kenny swallowed hard; it hadn't even occurred to him that Zoey could be right, they were out in the middle of a god damn blizzard, "N-No," Kenny denied after a moment of succumbing to the fear as well, "No we're not! Come on," He commanded while taking Zoey's hand and heading back the way he came from. Zoey squeezed Kenny's hand and wiped her cold tears away, following him closely, as if she had a better choice in this scenario. It was only a few minutes before Kenny stuck a hand out and began pressed it against a rock wall, "Almost there!"

"Where are we going?!" Zoey called out in confusion as a gust of wind chilled her to the very core,

"Somewhere safer than this!" Kenny replied before nearly losing his balance, his hand suddenly pressing against nothing. "Shit!" Kenny yelled while stumbling forward,

Zoey pulled against the falling teen, helping catch himself, "Kenny!" Zoey exclaimed as he got his feet planted, "Be careful, please!" She begged,

"I'm sorry," Kenny sincerely replied while giving her a quick glance, "But we're here," He said with a smile before pulling the girl into a cave den, "Here we go," Kenny said in a softer voice as they both felt relief from the protection of the wind,

"What the...how'd you know about this place?" Zoey mumbled while looking around the circular area full of branches and over brush, clearly from years of harsh weather blowing them inside,

"I was cave hunting," Kenny replied while taking off his hat and shaking the snow from it, "Lucky for us I actually found something. Come on, help me get some wood together, we need to get a fire going. I'm fucking freezing,"

"Kenny, what are we gonna do?" Zoey whimpered as her feet stayed planted, "W-What if no one is looking for us,"

Kenny lowered his head and lightly shook it, "Zoey...no one probably is right now," He hardly admitted to the girl causing her to sniffle and hang her head, "The storm has either trapped the other's somewhere else out here, or they're back at the cabin. No one's gonna be able to come looking until the storm passes."

"So what the fuck do we do?!" Zoey wailed in fear causing Kenny to quickly rush up to the girl, "What do we do?" Zoey whispered while Kenny put his hands on her shoulders,

"We get a fire started and get warm; Brian made sure we all brought some food and water to last us some time if we're lucky this storm will only last a few hours." Kenny explained while carefully leading her away from the cave entrance, "Just...just sit down, I can get a fire going, we're gonna be okay," He assured the girl.

Zoey, almost robotically, did as she was told and walked to the back of the cave, sitting against the wall, blankly staring at the floor while Kenny rushed around grabbing some of the dried wood inside the cave. Lucky for them both there was plenty of it, as long as the storm didn't go on too long, they should be able to keep warm, at least Kenny hoped so.
