Your museum date

You hang on Blue's arm for most of the afternoon, letting him lead you from exhibit to exhibit and spouting factoids he learned from his grandpa as he goes along. You're glad that the museum is almost empty, leaving Blue and the occasional employee the only ones who see you flaunting your bare ass in public.

You start in the fossils exhibit, admiring the ancient remains of extinct Pokemon and prehistoric plants. Blue explains to you the name of nearly every species represented, even if it's pretty obvious that he's mispronouncing a few of them.

You then move on to the natural sciences section of the museum. This wing is filled with diagrams of the carbon and water cycles, with lots of information about how these natural processes shaped the geography of the Kanto region over many millennia. This section is much more boring, mostly containing information you've known since middle school. Still, Blue keeps narrating for you, pointing out the location of Pallet Town in all the renderings of ancient Kanto.

The next section is much more interesting, with lots of information about space. The information here is genuinely fascinating, with dazzling pictures captured from space telescopes and up to date information about various planetary bodies, including speculation about alien life and Pokemon who may have originated in space. Of particular interest to both you and Blue is pictures of various sightings of ultra-rare Pokemon who, based on their look, are assumed to be visiting extra-terrestrials. There's even some exhibits here that are new enough that Blue hasn't seen them before, and he spends a long time reading every piece of information and absorbing every detail.

After spending several hours looking at all the museum has to offer, the two of you make your way to the museum's cafe. "Should we stop for a bite to eat?" you ask him.

"Places like this are always stupidly overpriced," he declines, shaking his head. "Besides, we can get free room service back at the hotel."

And with that, you follow Blue exiting the museum. You look up at the sky and finally notice just how long you two spent in there. The sun is lowering in the sky and growing stretch halfway across the street.
