Your future university might be interesting

The Sunset Hills elite university was founded by a guy called Gustav Whispers in 1957. The main benefactor was nobody else than Ernest Pike, your grandfather. Another important benefactor was a guy called William Hull. For some reason, the name sounds familiar.

The full name is Sunset Hills institute of high education. Once it was a place for white boys from rich families, but after some reforms and student demonstrations, girls and people from other ethnics were allowed too. The university expanded over the years and today it offers almost every course of study. The university had own laboratories and a shop where students can buy equipment, clothes, books and gadgets with the logo of the university.

The university has a few very powerful and famous people among its former students. Politicians, doctors, businessman and some scientists. But the main attribute of the university is still that most of the students are from rich families. Only 15 percent of the students have a scholarship for excellent grades or great victories in school sport. And other five percent got a partly scholarship because the government **** the dean to open the university to people with lower social status.

Only six years ago, there was a huge scandal, because the former dean employed a very corrupt private security and kept the police out of investigations about fraud, doping and sexual harassment. There also was a corrupt university council who could decide about who would be kicked out in case of an incident. And sadly often, it was not decided by evidence, but by the amount of money one side was ready to >donate<. But things came out and the scandal was big enough to get him loose his job.

Afterwards, things get unclear. There is no information about the current situation, but according to the website of the university, Zeta-Security, the private security service, is still responsible for keeping peace around the campus. The council also exists and the number of crimes reported to the police stays stable every year.

Studying there will be interesting. You have to make sure to be prepared for the worst. But maybe things are not so bad after all. The university maybe found a way to keep corruption low. You will see how it is, when you arrive there on Monday.
