You win!

Your opponent's first shard of ice misses, harmlessly targeting one of Pikachu's illusive copies before shattering on the wall behind you. Your pokemon dances left and right as subsequent shards fly out, each of them missing their target.

"Time to go on the offensive! Quick attack!" Pikachu's defensive posture quickly changes, her back-and-forth dodges transitioning into a rapid charge straight for the bivalve. In under a second her attack strikes true, but instead of dealing critical damage she bounces harmlessly against the top of Shellder's shell.

Your opponent's smirk returns for the first time since the battle started. She must have been waiting for you to go on the offensive. "Shellder hit em with Water Gun!"

Pikachu is in no position to dodge the nearly point-blank jet of water. It hits her just as she's about to land, sending her reeling backwards. She recovers her footing just as another Icicle Spear is about to hit, barely allowing her to dodge. What looked like a decently even matchup suddenly seems disadvantageous and you know you have to do something about it.

"Double Team again, Pikachu!" No matter what you try, you know Pikachu needs to dodge every attack from now on. Sure enough, two more ice shards fly harmlessly by as Shellder is confused by the fake Pikachus. "Now Pikachu, Thundershock!" Pikachu deftly dodges another Icicle Spear then braces herself, gathering her electricity and aiming it at her opponent. With a flash of light, electricity arcs from Pikachu's cheek sacs to Shellder. The next few seconds are silent, with both you and your opponent anxiously waiting to see if Shellder can keep going after that direct hit.

"Shellder, come on, Water Gun!" No response. Your opponent sighs and rolls her eyes, realizing her gambit to humiliate you further just backfired. You both recall your pokemon to their respective balls as she admits defeat.

You both turn back to the bleachers where your respective men are waiting, just in time to see her boyfriend getting called up to battle Brock. When you get back to Blue you hand him Pikachu's ball, telling him confidently, "She'll need to get patched up, but I can still challenge Brock with Charmander." You turn to your defeated opponent to make sure she follows through with her punishment. "Oh, I never got your name, by the way. I'm Amber."

She turns to you as she's unzipping her jacket. "My name's Kari," she grumbles as she pulls off her undershirt and unclasps her bra, exposing her a-cups.

You smirk. No wonder she was acting so jealous.
