You try to help but fail

Derek approaches your car and you give him the tools and spare tire. You insist on helping, much to his annoyance, but he lets you. At least, you try to help. What ends up happening is you clueless fiddle around with the tools causing them to all fall out of your tote. You scramble to pick them up and Derek has to wait on you to collect them all before he can gain access to them. Then you go through another dreadful series of shameful blunders as for every tool he requests you hand him the tool that you think he's requesting only for him to tell you that's not it every time. Then he let's you hold the pieces of the wheel he's had to remove and you drop those as well. You both have to quickly find them all but it takes some time. Lastly, you struggle fitting the tools back in your tote properly but insist you don't need help despite clearly needing help. And the kicker is this has all been watched by Tori, who is understandably humiliated both by you and on your behalf. Derek swoops in to comfort her.

"Hey. Sorry it took so long. It was a stubborn flat," he jokes.

"Thank you for helping. I guess I had you pegged for more of a monster but no way you could still be that vicious if not one of Adam's stupid mistakes made you blow up at him," she replies.

"Well he meant well so I tried to keep that in mind every time he'd drop something or get his tools mixed up."

That gets a quick smirk from Tori.

"I just don't know how I'm gonna pass my classes with hardly any time left to study," she laments.

"Is that was this is about? Tori, I gotta tell you I don't think you need to worry about studying as much as you seem to think you do. You're clearly plenty smart on your own. Studying is important but what you have is invaluable and no one can take it away from you," Derek says, laying his fake sympathy on thick.

"Well, thank you, Derek. I'll keep that in mind." Tori says.
