You talk to the head girl about joining in.

"Excuse me!" You announce, running up to the bikini girl who seems to command all other local bikini girls. "Can I please win the prize?"

She blinks, and lowers her hands from around her mouth to face you. "You mean swimswim's newest bikini?"

You nod.

"But... this is-" She looks you up and down, furrowing her brow in hesitation. "Well, that is to say... this is a bikini contest."

"Mhm."

She raises an eyebrow. "The new bikini goes to the winner. Of the bikini contest."

"Mhm."

"....And you're not wearing a bikini."

"Well, yeah! I don't have one! That's why I want to win it." Geez, this lady really is slow. You didn't think you'd need to explain this to her.

After a long pause, she opens her mouth to say something, closes it, sighs, and then opens it again. "Okay. You're in."

Goodie! Before you can express your excitement through hollers and leaps though, she holds up a hand, so you stop yourself mid-leg-bend.

"But you've got to show some skin to win, girl. Here, I'll see about getting you one of my spares to change into."

She walks up the sandy slopes for a brief moment to fish around in the boot of her car, before returning with a lime green bikini top and bottom. She hands them to you, then thumbs over where you can get changed, but you're too busy staring down in awe at what you've got in your hands. Your very own bikini! Now all you need to do is make the crowd cheer all loud-like, and you'll actually get to have one for keeps.

"The whole thing's just in good fun though, so don't go getting too invested in the results or anything." Your donor tries to reassure in a partially-concerned voice. Hah, as if you'd do that! You thank her happily, then waddle off to get changed into your new threads.

Wow, you probably should've thought this through beforehand, but you were too excited. It's a real struggle to fit into it. You've got to tie the strings at the back of the top half basically right at their tippy tips, and even then it doesn't feel entirely stable. The triangle material doesn't even properly cover the front part of your chest, even.... but it's easy enough to push that to the side! You're feeling really great about yourself right now, and you're smiling from absolute ear to ear.

There's a little mirror in the communal shower building you got changed in, so you can check yourself out a bit. Again, it's not a perfect fit, but you give yourself a few good side-to-side turns and it doesn't fall to pieces. Plus, you actually really like how it looks on you! You're not often exposed to sun in a lot of these normally hidden parts of your body, but that's not enough to lower your confidence any at all. You lick your finger, press it against your bare side, and go "tssssss". It's hard not to giggle, but you manage to keep your face all serious and business-like.

This is great! No wonder it has such a monopoly on the swimsuit market.

You step outside of the changerooms and back onto the beach. You're about to start practising your walk, and maybe coming up with a few practice lines to play up the audience, but it turns out you don't really have time -- a little stage of wooden planks lain across the sand's been set up, and a bunch of girls are already sitting in the sand to the side while that head girl explains what's happening to the crowd.

S-speaking of the crowd.... it's a lot larger than it was before. There's got to be, like, thirty something, all sitting back relaxedly in the sand.{if NewtonGym == True} Hey, and Newton's here! Oh, wait, that's.... okay, nevermind.{endif} You walk towards the congregation anxiously, fiddling with the bow you tied the strings in behind your back. Was this a bad idea? You don't even know how to walk like a bikini girl. Maybe competing like this on day one of your initiation was a bad move.....

All doubts are dissolved from your mind when the head girl looks across and spots you at the end of her spiel, and gives you a thumbs up and warm smile on her way to join the watching crowd. Y-yeah, don't forget, you look awesome right now! You can't lose confidence already. You need to win it, so you can look like this whenever you want!

With your mind set on participation, you stiffen your jaw and plop yourself down in the sand among the chattering and laughing competitors to the side of the wood-plank stage. You won't lose! At least, you won't give up.

You turn over to get a better look at the competition. All of them look really good too. You're not sure how the crowd might react to you all, but you might have to do something drastic to get an edge over the rest of these girls. But... that would be cheating, and cheating is wrong, isn't it? You wrack your brain for both potential ways to cheat and justifications for cheating simultaneously, as the first girl stands from the sitting group and struts over towards the planks.
