You return home

With everyone running around, the guards are trying desperately to maintain some form of control, and not doing great at it. You could waltz right out of the gate right now and not meet an inch of resistance. And yet, something compels you to stay. Forgoing a chance of freedom, you make your way back to the apartment being used as a home until now. The guards keeping watch outside were still at their post, but greatly concerned. They withdrew their weapons as you approached, unaccompanied and free.

"Stop right where you are mate! Utter chaos in the street and you just saunter up here like nothings wrong. Something don't add up there! Where's your escort? What's going on here?"

You give them just the information they need "The Boss is seriously injured. He might even be dead. Someone attacked him and before you know it, All Hell broke loose. I came to where I knew it would be safe"

"Wait? Proxley, The Boss could have bitten the dust?" You nod in agreement, and find an odd amount of jubilation from the guards "Well that's the fucking best news I've heard in years. May the worms have a feast eating his fatass corpse! I'm out of here mates! Best of luck to ya!" The guard nonchalantly handed you the keys as he removed his helmet and walked off, leaving the other guard solitary and confused.

"Well, so much for loyalty. If he is dead, the Primarch is going to go nuts. We're in danger, all of us. Even if The Boss is alive, the fact that he nearly dropped might cause him to get personally involved."

"Who's the Primarch?" You ask, this being the first you've heard the name

The guard touched his sword to the emblem on his shield "The Primarch rules this place. Tries to keep it together, but usually lets his cronies handle things. Better off that way, his management style tends to involve shallow graves."

"Come on inside" You motion as you open the door with the keys "Hopefully it isn't as bad as you make it sound," You say in earshot of the Wrathi and the others "We'll just let things blow over for the night. Figure out a plan in the morning if we need to."

"What isn't as bad as it sounds?" Nareesa asks for the group, having that scared look on her face "Why is there so much shouting outside?"

"The Boss got an axe to the back during his speech." You begin "things quickly went out of hand from there. If he's dead, who knows how his boss, The Primarch, is going to react. If he's alive, things may still be rough for a while"

"Well, what do we do now?" Wrathi asks.

"We wait, and we stay calm, and we work together. If we're making a break for freedom, we're all doing it together."

Your head snaps back as one the guard speaks up "Woah woah woah now! I'm going to pretend I didn't just hear that. You can't just up and leave!"

"You and the other guards are the only thing that'll get in our way" You reply sternly "Do you really want to be that guy, to have that fight?"

"No." He responds morbidly "But if does get bad out there, the people are going to need you, and whatever other fighters are out there. Protect them from the Primarch and his thugs who will kill anyone for a chance to rise up in status? That sound like something you want to let happen?"

"Fine," You respond "You have a good point. For now I think we should all relax, find a way to get some rest while we can. It may be a while before we can again."
