"Alright, fine, we can do a quick trip down to the mall," you tell Alex, causing him to emote sincerity silently. "But what if we meet someone? The streets have been dead for a week from what I've seen."

"I think that's just good for us," Alex deflected. "Less people, less exposure."

"And if the mall is chained up?"

"I got a chain cutter in the apartment basement from when I worked in parking, but I suspect someone's beaten us to the punch."

"Still probably smart to bring it along and hide it nearby in case we get busted," you sigh as you turn off the game you were playing and open your closet, looking for dark clothes and a t-shirt to cover your face with.
