Chapter 4
by CrawlingM
In the dark and quiet night, you and Alex find yourselves outside the mall
It's unlocked and the lights are on
"At least we won't have to break in," Alex says, ever the optimist. Both of you are across the street from the main entrance in a small back alley, looking at the place.
"Well, sure, but there's a lot of light," you whisper back, glancing around the streets. There's no burned out husks of cars, but there are some garbage bags and debris strewn around the foot walks. If anything, it seems whatever traffic there has been has just been ramming whatever stuff had gotten into the way out of the way.
"You're not complaining about electricity back at the dormitory."
"Nor the fact that we don't have to drink the water we've kept in the buckets. Hmm, we should probably get more buckets, in case the water disappears,"
"Fuck buckets, we need food. Canned food, preferably. Maybe some bags of rice if we can find any," Alex sighs as he drops the chain cutter next to the wall, making it quite anonymous among the trash
"In and out in three minutes?" You suggest.
"Make it five, we don't know how long it'll take to find everything," Alex says as you make your move in a brisk pace across the street.
Everything goes according to plan?

The Unreality Pandemic
Maintain your reality, if you can
An unnatural event dubbed "the Unreality Pandemic" has allegedly been roaming around the world the past few weeks. Nobody knows much about it and most believe it's just a tale to sabotage the economic or political stability of their nations. Some voices, however, insist that it is real and recommend people to prepare by creating "anchors," written references to their old life, that they then can use to undo anything undesired.
