You decide to stay on deck. You will help sailors in the battle against pirates.

It's getting a little crowded on deck. You draw your weapon. In your right hand is a thin elven sword. In your left hand is an elven dagger.

Then an unexpected and unpleasant event occurs.

From the side of two attacking ships, arrows are flying onto the deck of your ship. Lots of arrows. Arrows on the right side. And arrows on the left side. Arrows stick into the unprotected bodies of sailors. Arrows pierce flesh.

Many sailors fall to the deck, groaning because of their injuries. However, some of them will never make any sounds again. For example, the guy whose body fell on you from behind. You fell along with his body onto the deck. Then, you struggled to push his heavy body off of you. Rising to your feet again, you noticed that the throat of this sailor was pierced by two sharp arrows, the iron tips of which were covered with red blood. Judging by the glassy look of his lifeless eyes, this sailor is already dead.

You barely had time to get up when suddenly your ears were struck by the furious scream of the pirates attacking your ship.

Well, the abordage has begun...

Groups of armed and furious pirates began to jump onto the deck of your ship. These armed thugs were as lightly dressed as the sailors of your ship - you did not notice any armor or chain mail on any of them. The weapons in their hands were also similar to the weapons of sailors: short swords, falchions, axes, maces, short spears. However, there were differences in their appearance: the skin of many of these pirates had a bronze tint, some of them even had brown skin. You've never seen humans with these skin tones before.

However, you didn't have time to think. The deck became even more crowded than before. The guests who had jumped onto the dromon deck went about their usual activities. They began to cut throats, chop hands, and stab into the stomachs with the tips of their blades. The sailors of your ship tried to defend themselves and attack in response.

The ringing of iron, the stamping of feet, warlike cries, cursing and groans - it seemed that the sounds were as cramped on the deck as the people. Tightness: no matter where you poke, you’ll hit someone.

Some pirate ran towards you with a blade smoking with blood. He tried to slash at your face with his falchion.

You stepped back. Your blade in your right hand made a quick parrying motion and deflected the enemy's blow to the side. At the same moment, you delivered a sharp blow with your dagger to the pirate’s stomach. By inertia, your enemy continued to move. He collided with you and knocked you to the floor of the deck.

Due to the pain, he dropped his falchion. He then punched you in the chest. You felt pain, but your chain mail helped you avoid much worse consequences. In response, you quickly launched a series of dagger strikes into your enemy's body. Stomach. Bosom. Throat.

The bloody body of the pirate fell limply on top of you. The blood from his wounds stained your clothes.

You thought, trembling with fear: “It’s so good that I’m wearing chain mail under my clothes!”

Something falls next to your head. You turn your head and you see that it is someone’s severed palm...
