You turn around and go over to the group and watch the battle finish. Another trainer walks up to you and challenges you, “Let’s battle next!” He says smiling confidently. You nod and walk onto the arena. The other trainer readies his pokeball, “Alright lets get em’ Mankey” he winds up and swings his arm forwards releasing the pokemon.

“Go Bulbasaur!” You yell sending out your partner. As the battle begins, you figure it’d be for the best to decrease your opponent's attack as much as possible in order to compensate for Bulbasaur’s lack of experience. Thankfully the trainer is also a beginner so you are able to avoid a loss, without having to struggle. He hands you the prize money and though it’s not really that much, you can’t complain about the extra cash. Afterwards you check on your partner Bulbasaur who seems to be getting stronger and even learned the move Leech Seed.

Bulbasaur's development has helped reduce your concerns about his poor attacking capabilities. Which also aids you in winning a couple more battles against some of the other trainers. Surprisingly, you were able to win a majority of the battles you take part in, allowing you to earn plenty of prize money. You also manage to see many different kinds of pokemon, trainers, and advantages or weaknesses that Bulbasaur has against other pokemon. Thonly pokemon Bulbasaur had constantly struggled with the small flying type Pokemon, Pidgey. You stick around for a little while longer to get a feel for how trainers are typically battle and eventually head to where you were going to meet Amber. After a short walk through the city you spot her on the side of the road.

Once she notices you she waves you over and yells, "Over here Rory hurry up!" You hustle on over to her gets up off the bench. "Took you long enough" She teases, "find anything interesting at the pokemart?" she asks walking down the road just ahead of you. You can't help but notice her short shorts riding up her ass giving you a near full view of both her ass cheeks. The shape captivates you as with each step her hips sway in an arousing manor.

Doing your best to advert your gaze from Amber's beautiful backside and say, "I just picked up some more pokeballs and these." You pull out the guidebooks you bought and hand her one.

She takes the book and examines the cover. She looks up smiling gratefully, "Thanks, you didn't have too though, I still don't have any money though so it's alright if I pay you back later right?" You shake your head no and try to convince her that it's just a gift but she's not having any of it. "No, I'm going to pay you back," she pauses, "I don't want to use you like your my wallet you know" she says scowling at you for being too supportive and unintentionally taking some of her newly gained independence away.

"Alright fine, you can pay me back later if really you want to" you respond. She smiles and turns back around and the two of you pass a sign, "Route 2, Viridian Forest ahead". You walk for a little longer before trying to break the silence, “so what were you up to before you were waiting for me?” You ask.

“Oh, you know, just exploring and training my pokemon, thats all” she says somewhat avoiding the question.

You try to get more out of her but to no avail and eventually say, "So the map says Pewter city is just on the other side of the forest and I think we could probably make it there late tonight or tomorrow given we don't get lost." Amber nods and opens the door to the gate building that divides the two areas. You enter the building and walk through the rather plain looking building and step out into the Viridian forest on the other side.
