Proceed through the forest

The Viridian forest is home to many different species of pokemon of which you had never seen before, your first reaction is to try and count how many different pokemon you are able to see while Amber takes a more direct approach and releases Charmander from it’s pokeball and attempts to battle several of them. Amber’s Charmander seems much stronger than it had on route 1 and was now able to use the fire type move ember.

Charmander scorches nearly a half dozen bug and grass type pokemon which are weak to it’s fire type moves. “Great work Charmander time to get some rest!” She cheers snd pulls out a second pokeball, “Now go, Pidgey!” She flings the pokeball and the small bird pokemon that had given you trouble back in Viridian city emerges from the pokeball. The bird pokemon tweets as it flaps around in the air before Amber commands it to use flying type moves to clear the pathway of the remaining pokemon.

After the battling has subsided the two of you continue on. “So you caught another pokemon to train along with Charmander?” You ask curiously.

Amber giggles and holds up 4 pokeballs, “I guess you could say that” she says smugly showing off her growing collection of pokemon.

“So what else did you catch?” You ask.

Amber turns to you and grins, “Im not telling!” She teases, “You’ll find out soon enough, just you wait” and winks at you before turning away. “Anyways, there’s plenty of new pokemon here to battle and catch here!” She says with excitement as she steps into an area cleared of trees and grass.

“Hey you two” you hear a voice shout, “Let’s have a battle!” You look over to see two trainers approaching from the east.

Amber makes eye contact with them and declaires, “You’re on!” Confidently sending out her Charmander. The two guys send out strong looking pokemon. You reluctantly call out Bulbasaur fearing for the worst. The battle begins and you and Amber find yourselves quickly cornered and defeated by the other team. It was clear to you that they were far from novice trainers and it would have been better if Amber had denied the challenge. Nevertheless you hand over the prize money begrudgingly while Amber twiddles her thumbs around each other. The two take your gard earned money and split it between themselves and look over at Amber.

“I uhh, don’t have any money right now…” she says, “but like…” she tries to speak but is cut off.

“Well we’ll just take our payment in a different way, how’s that sound?” One of the trainers states smirking and taking his time to check her out. Amber pouts but agrees as she doesn’t have much of a choice in the matter and the other trainer says, “follow us babe, we’ve got plans for you.”

Amber looks at you and pleads, “stay here ok,” not wanting you to stick around and watch like you had back in the lab. The three walk over to the trees and stops just a few feet into the shade.
