Agreeing with Lady Karisi you start to leave her house and begin your trek towards the castle. With the cool morning air feeling refreshing in your lungs you couldn't help but smile at the rising sun as you ponder all the reasons you accepted this mission.
First, off it will get you more fame and power which isn't exactly what you wanted but you knew in the long run it would help. It also will gain you the respect of the kingdom which means then maybe some of the royal family members or even the King himself would take you more seriously. Lastly and most importantly it will make it you a better warrior so when it comes to that point when you get Claire back in your life, you will be able to fight for her, which is your ultimate goal.
Reaching the Gate to the castle you come to a stop as a guard shouts at you “HALT!”
“My Name is Sir Darien, I’m here to speak with Commander, Rixx” you politely reply to the overeager guard.
“O-Of course Darien! I-I knew that!" he stutters "Great work at Nillix sir!" he steps backwards and gives you a nervous salute "And my apologies for not recognizing you, I’ll lead you to Commander Rixx right away!”
Nodding at him he starts to lead you through this maze of a castle. The majestic decorations and the fancy never ending hallways cause you to begin thinking to your self about what’s about to happen. You couldn't help but daydream about your past and everything that has happened between you and Rixx as you follow directly behind this guard leading you to your destination.
Does Rixx know you're not Claire’s friend Like you originally said? Does he know you're her younger brother that's fighting to get her back? Does he know you want to get **** on him but at least for the time being you'll be friendly with him? All these thoughts ran around your head as you brought you hands up to rub the side of your face "Ughh..." you groan out causing the guard to turn his head and give you a questioning look "Sorry." you smile back "Headache!" you lie.
Why does he want you to take a detachment of soldiers to Loners Reach? It just seems as if something doesn't add up...
Your march continues and you know you must be getting close by the amount of Elite Rathkin warriors appearing in the hallways now. The inner hallways, throne room, prison and King's chambers must be the most heavily guarded so you figure you have to be close. You have so many emotions when it comes to this man, this beast, this monster. You hate him for taking your sister from you, but you can't deny that he also spared you and told you where your sister is which no doubt saves you hours upon hours of searching. Is he someone you can trust? Someone that honestly was just looking out for you and Claire? Either way, another twang of pain enters your head as your mind reels with questions.
“This is far as I go, Sir Darien." the guard's voice echoes out which causes you to stare blankly at him for a minute "Commander Rixx is waiting for you on the other side." he grips the door handle ready to pull it open for you "Good day Sir!"
With a thank you, a nod and a deep breath you look forward as the guard begins to open the door. As the bright lite torches of the room flood out from the door your eyes readjust to the light and when they finally focus, you see...
