Ann wasn't about to let Sally pin her down. She took a deep breath to try and clear her head, and twisted her shoulders to stop Sally grabbing her wrists. Ann instinctively lashed out with her left arm and, luckily, caught Sally right in the throat.

Sally made a surprised, enraged gurgling sound and recoiled. This lessened the pressure on Ann's poor stomach, and she managed to heave the black woman off her. "Think you're the only one who can fight dirty?" snarled Ann, getting to her feet. The look on Sally's face was pure fury.

Without a word Sally hunched her shoulders and ran at Ann. She was going to try to grab the goth girl under the thigh and lift her off the ground.
