Chapter 8 by AddickTara
Do you try and find out more?
Yes
What about your mom and dad? Where are they?”
“They don’t live with me anymore.”
“Oh. Are they divorced?”
“Yeah. My mom and dad are divorced. She lives with her boyfriend now, and my dad is in jail.”
“Where does your grandma live? How much further?”
“She lives in this trailer park up ahead.”
You drive into the trailer park, noticing a lot of run down caravans, and a site that probably at one time was a good looking holiday camp. Now though it's a bit of a mess and not a good place for someone to live. You can't help but feel a bit sorry for Tyrone, and Max.
“Is this it?”
“Yes,” Tyrone said as he opened the door and got out, followed by Max.
Brenda watched them walk to the door, and Tyrone turned around and waved at her before going inside.
Do you drive off?
Life of the Divorcee
It begins
After many years of marriage, Brenda Barker never imagined she’d be starting over. But when her husband ditches her after she's caught cheating at the local health spa Brenda is left with a modest house, an overgrown garden, and a long-overdue reckoning with who she really is. What begins as a shaky stumble into singlehood—burnt dinners, awkward solo brunches, and tearful nights with wine and reruns—soon becomes a bold exploration of self. With the unexpected help of her two teenage sons, and new neighbours, Brenda rediscovers not just joy, but a version of herself she hadn’t seen in decades.
