Chapter 9 by AddickTara
Do you drive off?
No
You start your engine but can't drive off. You switch off the engine, unbeaten your seatbelt and step out of the car, looking at the delapidated caravan in front of you.
You had a feeling. You weren’t sure what the feeling was, but you felt like you need to check on the teen. He was such a nice-looking young man, and you needed to see that he was living in good conditions. You don’t know why you felt that way, but you couldn’t drive away, and just leave him and Max.
You walk up to the door of the caravan and knock on the door.
“Tyrone?” you say as he opens the door.
“Yes, Brenda. What are you doing here?”
“I wanted to check on you. Are you okay?”
“Uh, yes.”
“Do you mind if I come in for a second?”
“Uh, I don’t know. I think my grandma might be sleeping.”
“That’s okay,” you say
Do you push into the caravan?

Life of the Divorcee
It begins
After many years of marriage, Brenda Barker never imagined she’d be starting over. But when her husband ditches her after she's caught cheating at the local health spa Brenda is left with a modest house, an overgrown garden, and a long-overdue reckoning with who she really is. What begins as a shaky stumble into singlehood—burnt dinners, awkward solo brunches, and tearful nights with wine and reruns—soon becomes a bold exploration of self. With the unexpected help of her two teenage sons, and new neighbours, Brenda rediscovers not just joy, but a version of herself she hadn’t seen in decades.
