Yes, wear the cloak

"That's it!" Ruby said. "I always feel naked without my hood; being naked and without my hood just makes it twice as bad!" She wrapped her crimson cloak around her shoulders and felt safe and warm again.

"So basically you're just going commando," Blake said. "Only more so."

"Yeah! Um, do you think Weiss and Yang will be disappointed?"

Blake rolled her eyes. "I think you're doing far more than either of them expected."

Ruby stood in front of a mirror to make sure she was covered. With the cloak wrapped around herself, nothing could be seen from her neck to her feet. Sure, if she moved to much, it could come loose and she couldn't do anything with her arms, but no one would be able to tell that she was naked.

Unless they looked at her feet. When she walked, her feet peeked out from under her cloak, as bare as the rest of her and worse at hiding it. "Oh no."

"What?" Blake asked.

"I'm not wearing any shoes! Everyone else is going to be wearing fancy dress shoes, and I'm going to be sticking out! They'll look at me and say, 'Hey! That girl's not wearing any shoes! I bet she's not wearing anything else under her hood either!'"

"Um, everyone else is going to be wearing formal dresses and you'll be in a cloak. You're already going to be sticking out."

"Exactly! Which is why I can't afford to be sticking out any more!" She looked at her dress shoes, a pair of fancy high heels that she had never worn before, but had just for this occasion. They looked like they would be hard to walk in, but Weiss fought in heels all the time, so how hard would it be?

Of course, the shoes were two more articles of clothing, and she was cheating on her promise enough as it was. Should she go in the heels, or go barefoot?
