Chapter 56

What's Eliza's answer?
Yes, of course.
Eliza pondered the idea in her head, bouncing it around the inside of her skull. Chloe anxiously waited for an answer, seemingly holding her breath the entire time. Though it didn’t take long for Eliza to decide, but she didn’t answer when she did, instead letting Chloe shuffle uncomfortably in anticipation for a little longer. Eliza couldn’t put her finger on why she did such a thing, something about the look on Chloe’s face was somewhat…cute. After what was surely an agonizing minute for Chloe, Eliza finally spoke up.
“You know what, sure, sounds like fun.” The stress and fear in Chloe’s eyes instantly dissipated, replaced with a set of joyous ones.
“Oh my god, thank you!.” Chloe lurched up over the table, surprising Eliza with an awkward hug as she latched her arms around her back. She held the gesture for a few more moments and then returned to her seat. “And what about Kat, you think she’d be up for it?”
“Kat? Of course, she’d jump at the chance.” Eliza was confident in her words, knowing Kat wouldn’t miss this for the world. Even if she works she would suck someone off to find a way no doubt. This answer seemed to add more life to Chloe, who was almost bouncing in her seat.
“That’s perfect, you two can meet me at my place and I’ll drive us there. Do you have a party dress by chance?” Eliza looked away, pretending to think. She knew she didn’t have anything like that, she was much too boring to normally go to anything like this, so she never had a reason to buy one. She shook her head.
“That’s fine, me neither to be honest. How about tomorrow after class we go out dress shopping. Oh it’ll be so much fun.” Chloe went off on a tangent, now literally bouncing in her seat. Eliza couldn’t help but glance at the bounce of her cleavage as she went on enthusiastically. “Alright, it’s a plan then. I’ll see you tomorrow.” And with those words Chloe shot up and disappeared, leaving a somewhat stunned Eliza to gather herself.
The rest of the day went off with much less excitement than that conversation. Upon arriving home Eliza informed Kat about the party, who as expected said yes without hesitation. It turned out she did work that night, but said something along the lines of “She’ll work it out.” Knowing how Kat worked, she was probably going to make her manager’s night.
Eliza spent the rest of the night doing homework and fidgeting on her phone, until before she knew it the next day was upon her. Locking her door, she was surprised to see Chloe waiting outside her apartment doors. There was a shine to her quite literally, Eliza could feel her joyous aura the second she opened the door.
The two of them walking to class together has become somewhat of regular thing for them. Eliza really did like hanging out around Chloe and assumed she mirrored her sentiment. Though protecting her from that stalker the first time they met might have something to do with it as well. Even if that was the reason, Eliza didn’t mind. She quite liked the idea of someone feeling safe around her, her role a guardian angel of sorts. Though that thought brought up something she hadn’t thought of before, since demons were real, does the same go for angels?
Their class passed by quickly and Eliza found herself being dragged behind the petite black haired girl, her face unable to contain their excitement as she led them to a high class clothing store. It was an immaculate looking place, being much fancier than anywhere Eliza usually shopped. One half of the store was dedicated to high end suits and tuxedos. Suit coats and pants covered the walls as they hung on display. Though this was obviously not where they were heading as the two women walked past them straight to the dresses.
The variety of dresses they had were mind-boggling to someone of Eliza’s nature. Every color and length imaginable could be found displayed somewhere. Some were modest with cloth draped up and over the shoulder, sporting long flowing fabric down to the floor, while others were much more risqué; plunging necklines, short skirts, boob windows, and midriffs galore. And much to Eliza’s dismay, this section seemed to be where Chloe was aiming for.
“Man, it’s been so long since I’ve gone dress shopping.” Chloe said in a giddy tone, her eyes bouncing between the scantily clad mannequins in front of her. Eliza was not as enthused about the designs, not liking the idea of showing off so much skin. The look in her eye must have been palpable, as Chloe tried her best to reassure her. “I bet you’d look beautiful in one of these dresses, not to mention sexy. The guys would all eat you up.” That was exactly what Eliza was worried about. If anything, she would rather not draw any attention to herself, and she doubted sporting a boob window would achieve that. Regardless of her thoughts on the matter, Chloe was having a field day checking out the different dresses.
Eliza grimaced slightly, not really finding much to her liking. The much too excited Chloe picked out a multitude of dresses before clutching onto Eliza’s arm, dragging her towards the dressing rooms. “You’ll look great in these, I promise.” Eliza on the other hand, wasn’t so sure. They did pass by the other, more modest dresses, one of which Eliza managed to snatch. With gowns in hand, Chloe walked up to the closest saleswoman and asked for some dressing rooms.
