Wyatt goes over his limit

“This item is now open for bidding!” The auctioneer announced! “Do I hear 30 seconds? 30 over here, 30 over there, looking everywhere for an opening bid! And we have one! Now,looking for 1 minute! Do we have a one? Anywhere a one. I see you sir, one minute now, can I get to 1:30?”

The auction was already off to a quick start and Wyatt hadn’t even picked up the paddle yet. He raised the paddle to join the bidding war.

“There we have 2!” The auctioneer rambled off, pointing at Wyatt’s padde with his gavel hand. “Where is 2:30?”

“2:30 with this gentleman.”

“3 over there.”

“3:30”

“4”

“4:30”

“5!”

That was Wyatt’s end price, but the numbers kept running up.

“5:30!”

“6! To the gentleman with the striped tie! Who wants it for more?”

Wyatt was still bidding, caught up in the frenzy of the auction. He raised his paddle again.

“6:30!”

“Wyatt, you said you’d stop at 5!” Kayla reminded him.

“What’s another couple of minutes?” he reasoned, raising his paddle once more. Still the number was creeping higher and higher and Wyatt started to second guess how much he was putting on the line. He still didn’t know where he would go once the Auction House collected. Did he really want to spend that long just for a kiss? The bidding finally started to slow and the auctioneer made a last call.

“It’s 7 now, anyone want to be a 7? This could be 7 minutes in heaven for one lucky winner!”

Wyatt lifted his paddle.

“We are at 7:30… do I hear 8 minutes? Anybody with 8 minutes for a moment with Ms. Debbie here that could last a lifetime? Forget get 7 minutes in heaven, give it an extra minute!”

The room finally seemed to cool off after the flurry of bids. The auctioneer continued to push for more. “Current bid is 7:30. Do we have anyone else still in the running? Going once! Last chance now! Going twice! Sold!” He hammered his gavel to make it official. “To that young man over there!” He pointed at Wyatt and the whole table erupted into cheers, falling into the high of the auction win.

“Nice job!” Damien told Wyatt, giving his man a shoulder rub.

“Come on up, young man and claim your prize!” The auctioneer called over to the winner. Wyatt stood up and waved to the audience and quickly stepped up to the stage where Debbie was waiting.

Debbie smiled at him. “Hi! What’s your name?” she asked.

“Wyatt,” he told her, sheepishly. “I’m actually a fan! I listen to you on the way home from work!” He didn’t want to make things awkward by revealing that he always found her voice to be quite alluring.

“Well, thanks for listening!” Debbie replied with a big grin. “I better make this worth your while then! For seven and a half minutes, you should get what you pay for!”

Wyatt wasn’t sure if what he bid was a high price or not, but he hoped she was flattered by the amount. She took his hand and pulled him close. She was only a couple of inches shorter than him so they met eye to eye. Their faces came close and Wyatt held his breath. Debbie tilted her head and leaned in, pressing her lips against his. She smelled like sweet apricots.

Debbie’s lips parted and Wyatt felt her tongue slip into his mouth. He was surprised by the forwardness, but didn’t push back. In fact, they ended up pressing their bodies up even closer and Wyatt felt the newscaster’s hand run along his back, creeping down to his butt, where she clamped on and squeezed.

Wyatt gave a startled yelp and Debbie giggled, wriggling her hips against the young man’s. Wyatt wasn’t sure if he was allowed to grope back, so he just stood there, arms to the side like a dumbstruck fool until Debbie finally let him go with an audible lip smack.

The crowd applauded the display, but Wyatt didn’t have time to take it all in, the light was already flashing before his eyes. He was about to be transported somewhere.
