World where Lily lives, along with other changes and Argus Filch gets the earrings.

"Another damned school year, another group of ungrateful brats mucking up the place," Argus mutters, trudging along to his quarters. While he has made arguments and orders to students a hundred times, there was still plenty of mucking up the floors that he cleaned. And of course, when he complained about or yelled at them, they rolled their eyes and walked away like he was nobody.

And in their eyes, he probably was. A school full of magic, teaching magic, and learning magic while he was just the magic-less squib that grumbled and yelled at them. Most of them likely saw themselves above such a normal person, whether they were pureblood or muggle-born. Not a single one of them is familiar with the hard life he lives or the tough work he goes through for them.

'Doesn't help that the teachers aren't much better.' Argus thinks bitterly. I've seen more than one of them roll their eyes at me, Snape especially. Whenever I bring students to McGonagall, she often looks at me like I'm a walking piece of shit. Doesn't help that despite our similar ages, her magic let her keep her young face and figure while he has grown old and wrinkled. Given the chance, he'd make that stuck-up bitch moan like the yowling cat she is. Not a single staff member in this school respects me, as even Dumbledore I'm sure treats me with pity and a patronizing manner.

'Someday, I swear I'll get my payback. I have to! Life can not be this unfair! If people like the Potters and Longbottoms get miracles, why shouldn't I!' I think to myself. Granted, James Potter had died and Frank Longbottom was tortured into a vegetative state, so that wasn't fortunate. But Lily and Alice lived and raised their kids! They could have easily shared their husband's fates.

'And then there is Sirius and Bellatrix Black! How those two got off scot-free has to be a miracle, as I'm sure that each was neck-deep in their own pool of crime. I doubt they changed from their Hogwarts days, those bastards.' Argus continued to think. Sirius was first arrested for the **** of James, accused of being the traitorous secret keeper. But then Lily corrected them and told them of Pettigrew's treachery. Following that, Bellatrix was brought to the Ministry after her husband and brother-in-law were caught with Barry Crouch Jr. whilst torturing Frank Longbottom.

Bellatrix was far more believable to be a **** Eater as she was always dark and cruel. But after she demanded Veritaserum, she was revealed to be innocent of that charge. According to her truthful state, she wouldn't be caught dead following some jumped-up Dark Fraud. And the idea of letting him brand her with his mark was enough to make her laugh. Then she was accused of having knowledge of the attack through her husband. She truthfully stated that she didn't know about it and that her marriage was only on paper. Apparently, it was never even consummated as her husband had different preferences and she found him revolting anyways. So without anything else to hold her on, she was let go and her marriage annulled.

'So if hellions like that can get miracles and happy endings, where is mine? When do I get happiness?' Argus thinks bitterly ****.

Making it to his room, Argus sees a package waiting for him on his bed. Grumbling and locking the door behind him, he roughly sits on the worn-out bed and grabs the gift or prank. Argus rips open the package to see a jewelry box and a note. Skimming the note, his eyes widen as he re-reads it. After staring at the note for a minute, stunned at what it was saying, Argus opens the jewelry box with trembling hands. Inside sat two earrings in the shape of capital 'N's. They were made of real gold as far as he could tell. Picking them out of the case, he gazes at them in awe for a minute as they seem to be the answer to his prayers. Then his face twists into a malicious and partially perverted smile.

"Well then, perhaps it's not so bad being a normal guy," Filch says, chuckling evilly.

(A/N: Not sure what provoked this idea. Filch is far from my favorite character to get these. But in my mind I knew this: Non-Magical=Normal and Old Man + Bitterness + Vengefulness + Pervertedness = Perfect candidate to **** mind control. So this happened. Plus, I've seen more than one story with the old, disgusting man as the lead so I figured I'd throw Filch a bone with this start.)
