Chapter 2 by TwentyTwan TwentyTwan

Will Tsuin Escape?

With a twist.

Just before stepping into the world of eternal freedom, a thought went through Tsuin’s head. Fuck I forgot my necklace, I’ll have to go back. I cannot leave the only thing my parents have given me in this life. According to Master, it was found in the same crib as I.” And thus Tsuin thought he had to give up on his escape, heading back dejected towards his old room, the satchel carrying his inventory by his side. Tsuin entered his room, a barren one with only a few belongings. A bed, a closet for a few sets of clothing, which all were really the same, and a shit bucket. Or as the sophisticated ones in the monastery liked to call them, the toilet. Tsuin quickly grabbed the necklace from a small pole he built inside his closet. He then quickly peeked out of the window, only to see that Ira was getting a public scolding. Lucky! is the only thought that went through Tsuin’s head. He made his way back to the end of the monastery, quickly glanced back, and hopped over the wall. Setting foot in the forest, the first time without any supervision. The first time Tsuin would taste true freedom. Suddenly the vibrant flowers felt even more vibrant, the fresh air even fresher and the pleasant chirping of the bird even more pleasant. For Tsuin was finally free.

The first step was to make way over towards the base that Tsuin had made, the hammock and dried meats would provide him for a few days before setting out towards the unknown. Or well not really the unknown as Tsuin had seen a few maps of the outside world in the office of the public relations official back in the monastery. The first town he would visit would be the hamlet of Yelron, a town that had basically integrated with the forest. The old trees get cut down for timber, the animals get hunted for food and the nuts and berries get cultivated in the forest. Tsuin knew this from an old ranger he had met once out in the woods, a friendly old dwarf by the name of Bakos. Which also reminded him that he could seek out Bakos as he was welcomed for a cup of tea last year. This might be the ideal starting point of the journey.

After some thought on what to do next, Tsuin had arrived at the hammock base he had made. Luckily the stashed meats and nuts were still there. He also found an extra waterskin that Tsuin had left here before, however, he had completely forgotten this fact. It was time to rest, as traveling in the night would ensure he would at least get rest without getting ambushed. And thus Tsuin dropped into the hammock and quickly dozed off.

Where shall Tsuin travel next.
